"Hey"

He gets a response almost right away.

"is this spot?"

"Yea"

"hi!!!!!!!!!! how are u :)))))"

Spot cringes at the amount of punctuation and emojis Race used, but continued nonetheless.

"Doesn't matter. What do you want from me?"

"?"

"You've been keeping your distance ever since kindergarten, and now you just suddenly want to be friends? What do you want from me?"

"who says i want something? just being nice :) is that a crime?"

"All of the sudden? why weren't you 'just being nice' in kindergarten? or middle school? i can see right through you, Higgins"

"you don't know anything about me. i just wanted to give you a friend. you look lonely and i feel bad."

"Oh, so it's out of pity? forget it. forget my number."

"spot please"

That's the last message before Spot throws his phone against his wall, cracking the screen. He jumps onto his bed, punching his pillows until his arms burn and he collapses into the blankets.
