Emily's POV
It's Finally Wednesday. A day JJ and I have both been dreading.
We have just ate lunch and Mara stayed in my lap this time
Carina is going to come by the Hotel at 1, seeing as Mara has to be with Amy at 2. And we are currently trying to get Mara down for a nap before she has to go
"Mommy we can go for a walk?" She ask me and I smile, I love that she calls me mommy now, I didn't realize that it would feel this magical
"Maybe later, we still have to talk remember?" I say picking her up and sitting on the bed with her in my lap
We haven't exactly told her she was spending the afternoon with Amy yet.
"Mara you remember Amy? From the court?" JJ ask and she nods
"Well,, today. You are going to spend some time with Amy. Just for a few hours and you will come back to me and momma" I explain and start rubbing circles on her stomach to keep her calm
"You too?" She ask
"Not this time... Carina is going to pick you up and take you to meet Amy" I explain and she shakes her head
"No. Please no" she says looking up to me
"It's only a few hours, then you will come back and we can do anything you want" I quickly say
"But I miss you" she counters and I look to JJ This is a lot harder than I thought
"What if we go on a walk before you go with Carina... will that make you feel better?" JJ ask, I could tell
She was on the verge of tears as well
"Hold hands?" Mara ask and we smiles
"Yes ladybug" JJ chuckles and Mara nods
"Go get your shoes and we can go" I tell Mara and lift her off my lap
"She's not getting a nap then" I tell JJ and she sighs
"No, but it'll be okay we will just have an upset and tired child later which would have happened anyway" she says and I nod in agreement
"Ready" Mara says and brings her shoes out to us
After I helped put her shoes on, JJ and I got ready and the three of us were walking down the streets of Seattle.
Mara was walking in between JJ and I and we would periodically swing her in front of us
"Are you having fun?" JJ ask Mara
"Yea momma!" She replies happily
"We should be heading back to the hotel soon" I tell JJ, seeing as it was already almost 1
"Yea... I know" she sighs and we swing mara once more so we could turn her around and she giggled and starts skipping while we held her hand
Once back at the hotel, JJ double checked Maras bag that we would be sending with her. It had a spare change of clothes, poppy and her cup if she would need it
"Alright baby, you remember what we talked about earlier?" I ask her and she nods
"I go with Rina?" She ask and I nod
"Right. Carina is going to take you to Amy, then me and momma will come get you" I say And she nods
"Good. Now come here and cuddle until Carina gets here" I smile and she jumps into my arms
Carina arrived 10 minutes later and we walked down to the lobby to meet her
"Thank you for doing this" JJ tells her
