"Marinette!" called Mom. "Alya's here! I can't believe how much work this school gives you!"

Alya winked at Marinette, who giggled. They ran up to Marinette's attic bedroom. Marinette clicks on her rolls of fabric and reveals the Miracle Box again.

"Hey guys!" Alya greets the kwamis. "So, what did you want to do again?"

Marinette sighed. "I wanted to talk about Rena Rouge."

"Furtive," Alya corrected her.

"Rouge, Furtive, whatever!" moaned Marinette. "I just  heard that Adrien knows that you are Rena and Nino is Carapace!"

Alya gasped. "What?!"

"Turns out that Nino got mad about that Cat Noir thing a while ago," huffed Marinette. "And he told Adrien everything!"

Marinette glared at Alya. "Why are you mad at me?" asked Alya. "It wasn't my fault."

"You're right!" cried Marinette. "I never should've given out a Miraculous to him!"

Marinette crashed onto her bed. Alya sat down next to her and attempted to console her.

"You made the right choice, Marinette," she said. "Nino is capable!"

"Alya," sighed Marinette. "I've made mistakes with the Miraculous before. I gave the snake to Adrien, and he ended saving me from Desperada twenty-five thousand, and nine hundred. . . thirteen times!"

"But-"

"And I lost a Miraculous and Chloe almost hurt a lot of innocent people on the metro!"

"But-"

"Listen, Alya," said Marinette. "I may stop giving out Miraculous."

"What?!" exclaimed Alya. "Stop giving out Miraculous?!"

"Yes," answered Marinette gravely. "It's too much of a risk."

"Girl," replied Alya. "You're insane! We if we could help you on Hero's Day, we can help in the endgame!"

"Alya, you all know too much!" argued Marinette. "Shadow Moth could and would hurt you!"

Alya scoffed, "Like he'd find out though."

"Alya, use your common sense!" shouted Marinette. "I need your Miraculous." She held out an open hand.

"Marinette-" Alya gasped. "You're- serious?"

"Yes, Alya," replied Marinette. "I'm the Guardian, and what I say goes."

Alya scowled. "Marinette, what's gotten into you!"

Marinette sighed. "I feel like things with Cat Noir have gotten really out of hand. He still feels like he's in the dark, even though he doesn't show it."

"And how do you know that?"

"He shows it!" spat Marinette. "And he's gotten jealous. Remember the Senti-Bubbler?"

"It was  a two-person plan!" scoffed Alya right back.

Marinette's jaw dropped. "That's what you told him?! You told that  to Cat Noir?!"

"Well, yes-"

"HE GETS JEALOUS EXTREMELY EASILY!!!" shouted Marinette.

"Marinette? Alya? Is everything alright?" asked Mr. Dupain.

"Yes!" said Alya quickly.

"Okay!" he replied.

"You can't say anything like that to Cat Noir!" hissed Marinette. "He'll get really mad and then I have to deal with him, and you do not want to deal with an angry cat!"

Alya answered, "Well, I think you're better off with that mangy cat!"

"Then get out!" growled Marinette.

"With pleasure," Alya bowed sarcastically and stormed from the room.

Marinette then realized what she's done. She flopped backwards onto her bed and began to cry.
