Marinette transformed after the day ended, and was heading for she and Cat Noir's rendezvous point, when a large white circle appeared in front of her.
"Minibug!" shouted Bunnyx. "We have an issue?"
"What happened? Is this a Code Blanc?!" asked Ladybug.
Minibug nodded. "Code Blanc."
"Get me in there!" hissed Ladybug. Bunnyx banged a pot on Ladybug's head. "Situation? Is it Cat Blanc again?"
"Yes, but now with a sentimonster and that web power!" said Bunnyx, while trying to find the timezone of the Code Blanc. "Here! Hop in, Minibug!"
Ladybug nodded. "You know, Bunnyx, I'm still passing through the trauma of Cat Blanc-"
Bunnyx merely winked, blew Ladybug a kiss, and hopped back into the burrow. Ladybug inhaled sharply and prepared herself for the worst. She took in her scene. In the Agreste Mansion.
"Cat N-Blanc?" Ladybug called. "I'm here! I'm here for you!"
Cat Blanc jumped up in front of her. "Milady! Oh, I was feline so sad that you were gone!"
Ladybug winced. "Cat Blanc, what happened? Is your akuma in your bell?"
"Oh, no, Milady. It's in. . ." He choked. "I wish I could tell you, but-"
"Slender Moth will hurt you."
Cat Blanc let a tear fall. "Save me. I can't deal with the pain anymore, Milady!"
He let out a yell. And he pounced away.
In the Burrow. . .
Bunnyx was searching for what had happened, so she went to Adrien talking to his father. He denied that he was Shadow Moth and he dismissed Adrien. So, as usual, Adrien went to talk with Marinette as Cat Noir. We don't know fully how, but Lila was akumatized and took it to an extra level. Marinette ended up dead. Cat Noir was akumatized and the akuma landed in Marinette's photo of she and Cat Noir, located under Marinette's bed.
"Oh, Minibug, if this doesn't work, you're toast!"
In Blanc-Paris. . .
"Cat Blanc!" shouted Ladybug. "Wait for me!!"
Cat Blanc prowled to Marinette's. He had set up Marinette's corpse on her bed and occasionally, Cat Blanc would lay next to it, crying over her lifeless build.
Ladybug flew through the bakery window and charged upstairs. She saw her body on the bed, Cat Blanc purring against it.
Yes.
Purring.
Cat Blanc was purring.
He was purring over Marinette.
And suddenly it clicked.
Cat Noir had a soft spot for both Ladybug. . .
and Marinette.
Ladybug gasped. "This is impossible."
"That's what I thought, too, Ladybug. It's not."
Cat Blanc rose.
"I'm going to bring her back. Give me your Miraculous."
He sent off a Cataclysm.
Ladybug barely survived.
