How do you feel?
Do you feel dark?
Or do you feel bright?
The blinding light
Blinding your sight
Do you feel heavy
Or do you feel light?
Pushing through your wounds
Pushing through your diet
Don't be quiet dear
Don't fear fright
tell me if you have now
learnt how to lie
Do you feel low
now that you've reached heights?
Do you miss you
when you now meet your eyes?
Do you cover it up
when you've cried for long nights?
Do you feel lost
when you look at the flying kites?
I am sorry darling
But its impossible for me to hear you
I am sorry for your loss
But I can barely see you
Like the sun in the sky
You've been shining bright
Looking down now, do you fear heights?
How much did it cost?
What are the things you've lost?
How much does it burn
When you give us light?
I just hope my love, I hope
Because that's all I can
That when it gets hard
You are not scared to cry
That when its too dark
you come out for light
That when you fall down
You take time to fight
That when you are you
You don't need to hide.
You can't read it
Nor feel it
But that's what I wish
And will always do
For you to be alright,
It's getting late
You might be tired
Now close your eyes, be yourself
And have a good night.
