They couldn't find a trace of Alex or Amanda. Spock was boiling with anger at this point. Then something caught Jim's eye.
"Spock, there's something over there!" He said as something rattled in the bushes. A strange small figure emerged wearing a cloak of some kind. The hood covered it's appearance. Spock froze as he saw it, not wanting to scare it off.
"Hello. We mean you no harm," he tried to say before the creature took off. Spock went after it as the captain and Doctor followed him.
"I thought you said there wasn't any humanoids on this planet," Bones said.
"Well, I guess there's something here," Jim replied.
"Then why didn't it show up on our scanners?" Bones persisted.
"I don't know Bones but we're going to find out."

Spock kept following the figure as it led him to a cave. The Vulcan stopped as he studied it. It appeared very deep and of course, dark. The captain and the doctor caught up to him to stand by his side.
"Where did it go?" Bones asked.
"In the cave," Spock replied. Jim started walking.
"Let's check it out then," the captain said before Spock grabbed his arm.
"It could be a trap," the Vulcan said.
"Either way, they could have my sister and niece and I'm going to save them," Jim persisted as Spock let go.They ventured into the cave with Spock leading the way. They weren't sure about risking light, so they relied on Spock's better eyesight to guide them. Nobody spoke.
"Ouch Jim you stepped on my foot!" Bones tried to whisper.
"That wasn't me," Jim said worriedly. The three stopped walking.
"Bones?" They heard someone whisper.
"Alex?" Spock tried as he then felt her grab his arm.
"Oh Spock I'm so glad it's you!" She exclaimed.
"What happened?" Spock said as he knew Alex was crying.
"They took us. But they have her Spock! I don't know what they're doing!" She choked as Spock tried to comfort her.
"Who is they?" Jim asked.
"I don't know. They knocked me out and they are covered with robes so you can't see them."
"How deep is this cave?" Spock asked.
"Very deep. But once you're in, you can't go out. I've tried. They have a shield around the entrance."
"A shield? Then there must be a way to turn it off," Jim said.
"I can't see enough to find it," Alex confessed.
"I can. I'll find it," Spock said determined.
"How long has it been since you've been looking for us?" Alex asked.
"About three hours," Jim said grimly.
"This is all my fault," Alex sighed.
"No it's not. We'll find her," Spock said as he held her hand.Note 1/3/21 Happy New Year! I'm gonna try to update better on all my stories. My cat got sick and I was worried about him.
