Poem #10: Something Or Nothing

When I do nothing, I'm told to do something.
When I do something, I'm told to not do it at all.
It's ironic that anything I do seems to be condemned.
Does a thing I can do exist, without leading to some fall?

When I agree, I'm cursed for following the crowd.
When I say no, I'm attacked for being weird.
I'm mocked if I'm indecisive; what am I to do?
When even taking a decision is a cause of fear.

Doing it early makes me seem too easy.
Doing it late means I'm supercilious.
If I do it on time, I'm cutting it close.
If I don't do it at all, I'm not serious.

Doing anything should result in something.
But that something isn't really worth much under the blue.
But doing nothing isn't much better, therefore I ask-
What on earth am I supposed to do?
