The Prince is startled when a snowball hits him in his helmet.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" A teenager shouts glaring at Prince Zuko with the messiest hair the Prince had ever witnessed in all his time alive. "They are women and children!"
She was dressed in their clothing but she still moved awkwardly. As though she wasn't used to the textures of the fabric and they were not her own. Her nose was bright red from the cold and while everyone else wore gloves she didn't and her fingers were suffering from it. Green eyes glared viciously as she stood in front of the village that she notably wasn't a part of.
Trying to protect people that weren't even hers.
Who would do that?
The Prince's eyebrows shoot upwards at the word he'd only ever heard twice and at the girl who obviously didn't fit in. Despite never having met her before, the description matches to the marker and he doesn't stop the astounded.
"Kalypso?"
The girl's eyes widened and she lifted the weapon, he could tell from her stance alone that she was painfully inexperienced. To a point where it would almost be embarrassing to win against her. "Look the position of crazy person claiming they're my sibling is taken so how do you know my name?"
This was not the sensitive, big crybaby , dramatic girl that was described to him?
"Veren-"
Kalypso almost dropped the weapon but the Water Tribe boy came back for a round two, something which Prince Zuko handled easily his eyebrows furrowed together in annoyance at the interruption.
The second that the Water Tribe Boy was out of the way he turned back to Kalypso and looked at her more clearly. She was shaking and her jaw was set. "What are you saying?"
This caused the Prince to blink. The WaterTribe boys attack against him wasn't enough to deter her from discovering the details about her own sister.
"I'm saying Ren is on the ship-"
Prince Zuko doesn't have time to dodge the body that's launched itself at him. He lifts his hands prepared to answer the blows but even he isn't expecting her to aim for his legs with her body.
Who in their right mind would even consider abandoning a weapon?
His feet come out from under him and he lands on top of her; a sound of pain coming from her as she rolls over. The helmet that had popped off his head in the battle, is now being used as a weapon against him.
His arm bands block each of the juvenile attacks.
She's weak and inexperienced, but it's notable she's giving her everything in the battle against him. She knows her strengths and plays them to her best ability using her legs.
