let's talk about fanfiction really quick

okay so i've came up with a theory that content creators read fanfiction and post about it is to scare the fans into behaving

the heatwaves author oh lord

no offense to them, but they started like a whole butterfly affect.

glass animals makes a song - ppl join the mcyt fandom

like heatwaves the ff was an intro and gateway to the mcyt fandom because they've found new male bestfriends to ship as an mlm couple

AND THE FACT THAT GEORGE WAS MADE FEMININE FOR HIS LOOKS IMMEDIATELY

anyways

the heatwaves author literally got humiliated when they found out dream and george read it

they opened up a new mindset for fans in a good and bad way

NEW DISCLAIMERS IN FANFICTION HAVE BEEN ADDED

example: "if any of the ppl find this..."

yeah.

making people realize that the CC they're writing about probably saw it opens up new levels of caution

or bravery.

tbh they've been getting nastier and it's honestly concerning for george and dream and the others

i've been saying this since december 2020:

"i'm waiting for the day when Dream finally draws the line on fanfiction."

because there are layers

-the other person being paired with dream is uncomfy
-it goes against boundaries
-it isn't morally right
-it isn't legal
-minors are consuming the content

-minors are writing the content.

i know dream probably stopped reading fanfiction because he probably saw a weird one and just kinda was grossed out.

and because i'm pretty sure the author for HW was getting death threats, privacy leaks, and hate for making to story or not updating.

but...

but we're just one "Reading Fanfiction about Me and..."

and dream just draws the line.
