Caelum could see that Freelancer was getting weeker and began tapping Gavin repeatedly. Gavin groaned as he turned to the other

"𝑊𝔥𝔞𝔱!?"

"𝙶-𝙶𝚊𝚟𝚒𝚗, 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚋𝚘𝚍𝚢, 𝚒-𝚒𝚝'𝚜 𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚠𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚛, 𝚠𝚑- 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚘 𝚠𝚎 𝚍𝚘!?"

The empathy daemon panicked, hardly holding any tears anymore as he began feeling all the knots the three of them had began feeling.

Freelancers breathe' became shorter as they painful tried to speak. It was as if a knife was being stabbed right through their neck.

-𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑑𝑜 𝐼 𝑑𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑤..!? 𝑤-𝑤ℎ𝑦 𝑑𝑖𝑑𝑛'𝑡 𝐼 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑓𝑢𝑐𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛!?..𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝐼 𝑠𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑏𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑛?..-

Freelancer complained, as more time went by they began feeling more sorry for themself. The boys were too stressed to heal.

Gavin could heal someone or himself but it would take time, and with everything injury wise Freelancer was going through, he wouldn't heal them fast enough.
Caelum could heal someone along with himself but it would need him to focus on possitives and in this situation, his mind was far from the positive. His best friend was on the doorstep of death, and he felt helpless wanting to, but being unable to help them.

"𝑦-𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝐼- (ᴄᴏᴜɢʜ) 𝑙-𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑔𝑢𝑦𝑠..𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡?"

Freelancer felt like death was closer than ever, even if it scared them they didn't want their boyfriend and best friend to feel the way they did. They tried to calm or relax the pair of them as best they could before leaving.

"𝚠-𝚠𝚑𝚊..𝚑𝚎𝚢! 𝚗𝚘..𝚢-𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚊𝚗'𝚝-..𝚠𝚎 𝚕-𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘𝚘, 𝚋𝚞𝚝- 𝚢-𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚊𝚗'𝚝 𝚐𝚘.."

"𝑦-𝑦𝔬𝔲'𝔯𝔢 𝔫𝔬𝔱 𝔤𝔬𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔞𝔫𝔶𝔴𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢. 𝑌𝔬𝔲 𝔥𝔢𝔞𝔯 𝔪𝔢!? 𝑊𝔢'𝔯𝔢 𝔤𝔬𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔱𝔬 𝔥𝔢𝔩𝔭 𝔶𝔬𝔲..𝔧𝔲𝔰𝔱- 𝔡𝔬𝔫'𝔱 𝔶𝔬𝔲..𝔡𝔞𝔯𝔢! 𝔡𝔦𝔢 𝔬𝔫 𝔲𝔰.."

The two were aware of what Freelancer was trying to pull, but they were not having any of it. Why would they give up on them now? Not after all this. All three (3) of their emotions were all over the place, but none of them were giving up. Even if Freelancer felt like that would be easier, they didn't want to die. They had so much to live for. The E&E Games next year, seeing the rest of the D.A.M.N boys that they has gotten so close with. What would their reactions be to this?

Freelancer let out a pained sigh once again before reaching out to hold Gavins hand. They let out a small smile while blood ran down the side of their chin. Gavin held their hand tightly, mumbling and repeating

"𝑑-𝑑𝔬𝔫𝔱. 𝐿𝔢𝔱. 𝐺𝔬."

Caelum crouched beside them both as he rubbed his tears away. He saw their body go grey slightly, the blood draining out of their system. He began fighting with himself. His friend was right in front of him and he unable to do anything. Or, he was, just not with how he was currently feeling.
