Dear readers,
Thank you for so many reads! I'm really glad that you are enjoying the fanfic!
I'm sorry for not publishing the chapter before! Like I said some chapters before, I'm trying to make the story long and develop the relationships between the characters and the reader so I need to think of situations that could happen inside the Plex to get the reader closer to each one of the love interests, that is a bit difficult, specially because I don't want to repeat "dates". Like I also said before, I already have the base for all the endings and I can't repeat anything in there as well so getting a writing block is easy.
Well, I'll stop giving useless explanations and let you all read the chapter that you've been waiting for ;)
Hope you enjoy <3♡♡♡
- Vanessa! - you call her.
You and Liam had just parted ways after he gave you a ride back to the Plex. Vanessa seemed stressed and mad. She turned around to see you, her expression slightly softing.
- Look, Y/N. I can't talk right now. - she says, coldly.
- But... - she interrupts you.
- No buts. - she starts to walk away.
- Please! Just tell me what happened! - you plead. She turns around, mad, and says something you never thought you would hear.
- A child died! - she says, furious. You look at her, clearly shocked and worried. Her eyes soften.
- When...? - you manage to say.
- Yesterday. - she sighs. - We still don't know much, but there was a note. We don't know what it says, it looks like some random letters trying to form words.
- Please... When you know what it means... Tell me. - you basically beg. She nods.
- Alright. I need to go now. Don't do anything stupid. - she says half joking. You sadly smile and nod as she leaves.
You sigh, soon falling into realization about what actually happened. You fall on the floor, terrified.
What if your sister was already dead?
What if whoever killed that kid is also who kidnapped your sister?
What if you never even find her?
You stay there, completely devastated. People walked through the Plex and watched you fall apart on the floor, but no one wanted to help you. No one asked if you were okay. No one cared. Everyone simply questioned themselves and ignored, sometimes even calling you "pathetic" or "ridiculous". Even though you could hear everyone calling you names, you didn't care. It was the least of your problems. It was the least thing you needed to worry about. You knew your sister was probably dead by now. It was already the third day she had been missing.
- Are you okay? - a feminine voice asks. A voice you know really well.
- I'm alright Chica, don't worry. - you lie, hoping she would leave you alone.
- You're not okay Y/N. - she says on a worried tone.
- I said I'm okay! - you yell at her, completely without patience. You look up to see her hurt expression. If she could let out tears, she would have already cried a river by now. You feel guilty. - I... I'm sorry Chica... I didn't mean to talk like that.
- It's fine... - she lies, clearly hurt.
- I'm really sorry... I'm just... So frustrated and... Scared... - you burry your face on your hands.
