Jamie texted me Saturday morning, and the conversation went as such:
Jamie: soooo
Me: So?
Jamie: how'd it go?
Me: How'd what go?
Jamie: ur a prick. how'd the date go?
Me: It was fine
Jamie: am i seriously going to have to pry every detail out of you
Jamie: i hate you
Me: I don't know, man. It was ok. We just hung out in my room. Nothing super interesting happened, we just kinda watched some tv and talked
Jamie: virgin
Me: I know the literal man-whore isn't insulting me right now
Jamie: whatever
Jamie: so nothing happened at all?
Me: We made out a few times. That was really it
Jamie: hm
Jamie: do u wanna hang out today?
I was dreading this moment. I knew that eventually, at some point in this conversation, he was going to ask me if I wanted to do something with him either today or sometime this weekend. Under any normal circumstance, I would love to go out and do something with him. Today was different. I think that if I saw him after what happened with Mikaela yesterday, I would throw up.
Well, maybe "throwing up" is a little bit over the top, but it'd feel weird, and I think that Jamie would know something was wrong. He's annoyingly perceptive at times and he'd catch on to the fact that I was acting weird.
I needed to spend the next day or so away from Jamie so that I could just breathe. What happened with Mikaela wasn't a huge deal, after all. It could happen to anyone.
Me: I think I'm going over Sawyer's house.
Jamie: so lame
Me: I have homework to catch up on tomorrow, but we'll hang out sometime after practice this week?
Jamie: yea, just let me know
QOTD: Do you prefer to text or call?
