Sasha's POV:
"Come here baby!" I encouraged Mia.
We were trying to get Mia to take her first steps alone. She stumbled a little bit, but eventually got the hang of it. Bayley helped her for a bit, but after a while she let her try on her own. Bayley stood her up and we encouraged her to walk to me.
"Almost there Mia!" Bayley said softly as Mia almost reached me.
"You did it!" I exclaimed as Mia held onto my shoulders.
Bayley was clapping for Mia as I picked her up.
"You did it Mia!" I exclaimed again.
Bayley came over to us and sat beside me as I held Mia.
"She's getting really good! She just did it on her own," Bayley stated.
"Mommy," Mia whispered and she played with my hair.
"Miaaaa, that's my thing," Bayley teased.
"What? Playing with my hair? Or calling me mommy?" I asked Bayley.
"Both," she answered.
We laughed about that for a few minutes until Mia got squirmy. I got up and put her into her play area. She was learning how to stand with the gates beside her. Bayley and I sat on the couch as we watched Mia.
"She gets it all from you," Bayley whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"How pretty she is, and how long her hair is getting. All from you," she explained.
I looked up at Bayley with a smile.
"I am her mom," I admitted.
"No, I'm her mom. You're her mommy, and mine too," she joked.
I laughed at her before pecking her lips. We turned our attention back to Mia who was standing up on her own. She was a quick learner. And according to Bayley, it was because I was too.
