Ember's second chance

Chapter 3

I don't own Danny Phantom Butch Hartman does.

Once Danny landed, Ember was there ready for him. "You ready?" she asked

"Tell me why we are going to Johnny and Kitty's?"

"You will see and don't worry I have already talked to them and they won't attack as long as you don't attack as well."

"Alright, I guess let's go."

Ember and Danny flew into Johnny and Kitty's lair.

"Hey Johnny, Kitty I brought him."

"Hey Ember and sweet! We can get started." Johnny said

"Ok, before we do anything can someone, please, tell me what is going on here?!"

"You didn't tell him?"

"No, I didn't want to scare him off"

Danny narrowed his eyebrows trying to think what this could be about and why it would scare him. He didn't care for what his thoughts were bringing up.

"Fine, I will explain." Kitty said and turned to look at Danny "Once a year, we all compete in a talent show for the chance to pretty much be 'ruler' of the ghost zone. You can team up or you can be solo. Well, we heard from Ember that you actually have some pipes and if that true we would like you to be on our team."

"I-I don't know"

"Come on Danny it would be great and don't think you aren't good enough. I said you are as good as me."

Kitty looked shocked and when Danny didn't seem to understand Kitty said "That is a really big deal. I have heard some of what I think is good like Coldplay but Ember said they really aren't that good."

Danny thought about it for a moment, then said "Fine, I will do it."

"So can we hear that song just so we all know where we are at?" Johnny said

"Do you have a guitar that I can use? Preferably an acoustic guitar if you can if not that's ok to." Danny said still a little uncomfortable hanging and singing in front of some of his enemies.

Ember went and grabbed Danny an acoustic guitar and handed it to Danny.

"Thanks, Ember"

Danny played a few chords tuned it a bit and started to play the song.

Danny finished off the last chord of the song and looked at the ghosts in front of him.

Ember smiled at him, Johnny looked deep in thought and Kitty just looked shocked.

"That was great Danny" Ember said

"Thanks" Danny blushed

"Yea kid, that was great." Johnny praised

"So if I am doing this ghost talent show what I am going to sing?" Danny said putting aside the guitar with care

"How about 'Let her go' by Passenger?' Kitty suggested

"No, I don't know the song to well and it doesn't go with my voice"

"How about 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifia" Kitty tried suggesting again

"No, I can't rap"

"How about 'How to Save a Life' by The Fray" Ember suggested

"That could work" Danny thought about it some more "yeah let's go with that." Danny said now comfortable being with this group of old enemies

"Well we should start practicing. Danny, Ready?" Ember said

"Ready"

For the next few hours they practiced and when it got late they set up to a time to come regularly to practice for the competition. As the days grew closer Danny got more and more excited
