YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER

Reader gets into an argument with Scar about her grades and how she's been behaving recently

Set during the filming of black widow

*Scarlett's pov*

Y/n's mum had to go back home because of work a few weeks ago so I offered to look after her

She's 15 so she knows how to do things on her own and what not but apparently she hasn't been doing her online schooling like I thought she was and was now getting bad marks

And on top of that she started acting out. First it was a couple snarky remarks but that's normal for teenagers, then after filming she would storm off to her trailer and wouldn't leave until the next morning when she had to among other things

I though during the time she was in her trailer she would be working on school work but nope

It's been going on for about 2 weeks a week after her mom left to go back home

So I was finally going to talk to her and find out what her problem was because not only am I worried but everyone else is to

I excused myself as I was originally hanging out with Flo, David and Rachel and headed off to her trailer

*y/n's pov*

I heard a knock on my trailer door so I reluctantly got up and opened my door rolling my eyes as soon as I saw who was there

"Hey don't roll your eyes at me missy"

"I can do what I want" I say walking back other to my bed

"Okay what's up with you?" She blurted

"Nothing" I lie

"Dont lie to me you know you can tell me anything what's going on? I got a call from your mom telling me that your getting bad grades in your classes...are you even doing your school work? And on top of that you've been acting up and its getting to be a bit annoying" she ranted

"Of course I'm doing my school work and I haven't been acting up" I say defending myself

When in reality I know I've been a brat but the stress of filming and then having to catch up on the work I missed was getting to be to much so I took it out of everyone else and just became a brat and then gave up on school work

"Well obviously you aren't or your mom wouldn't have called to say your getting bad grades and are you kidding me? All you've been lately is a brat that's been acting like a child that didn't get what they wanted"

"WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE" I yell

"Beacuse I care about you and I don't want you to fall behind you were doing so good and had 90's in all your classes what happened"

"You wanna know what happened? LIFE happened Oh I just Haddd to like acting and get into do you understand how fucking stressful life is as a teen actress and a grade 11 student? It fucking sucks and don't say you understand because you never will" I say coldly

"Hey I know your upset right now but you don't have to speak like that to me" she says calmly

"Oh please what are you my mother" I spit out

"Y/n-" She starts

"YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER SCARLETT" I yell instantly feeling regret when I see Scarlett's face

"I KNOW THAT...you don't think I know that? I was trying to check up on you and see how you were? I know you're under a lot of stress with school and filming and I just wanted to see if you needed any help" she says her voice becoming a whisper by the end

"Scar im-"

"No...no its okay I'll let you take a breather and relax then I'll try to talk to you again hopefully your calmer" she says before walking out of the trailer

"Shit" I whisper before I grab my pillow and scream into it

I lay down on the bed face first until I hear the door open before softly clicking closed

"Hey kiddo" David says

"Is Scarlett okay?" I ask sitting up

"Yeah she's fine don't worry she's a tough cookie" he said smiling

"I'm sorry- I know I should be saying that to her but I owe all of you guys an apology for how I've been acting these past couple weeks its just school and filming got to be to much and I took it out on you guys and I know I'm just making up excuses but I'm really sorry" I rumble

"Hey hey its okay we get it, it happens to everyone once in a while we were just worried about you and wanted to make sure you were okay" he says sitting down on the empty spot on the bed

I broke down and basically threw myself at David as I hugged him like he was going to disappear any second

"Hey shhh it's okay" he whispered stroking my hair

After a couple minutes we pulled apart

"Um could you get Scarlett?" I ask while fiddling with my rings

"Of course" he said getting up

Scarlett walked into the trailer a couple minutes later with a small frown on her face

I didnt say anything I just walked straight up to her and hugged her

She instantly hugged back pulling me closer to her if that was even possible

"I'm so so sorry I don't know what happened...I shouldn't have said what I said" I mumble

"Hey its okay I know you didn't mean it okay it's fine I forgive you" she says rubbing my back

"No I need you to know how sorry I am I- I was so stupid and rude and I wanted you to know you're like a second mum to me you've always been there when my mum couldn't and you've taken care of me when I've gotten hurt or sick and I'm just really sorry" I cried hugging her tighter

"Shhh it's okay it's okay I know you didn't mean what you said you were just stressed and let it out...I've been there before and I know the guilty feeling and I don't want you feeling that okay bubs?" She asks holding my face in her heads while wiping my tears away

I nodded and brought my hands up to her face and wiped to tears she seemed to not notice stream down her cheeks

We rested our foreheads together and just relaxed

"I love you sweetheart and nothing you say or do will ever make me change my mind okay?"

"I love you to scarly" I sniffled

After a couple minutes we stopped hugging and she brought her arms up onto my shoulders

"Now let's get this school work done and out of the way we can listen to music and chil it'll be fun" she said grabbing her phone to turn on music

We started to work on the school work and listen to the music and just have fun
