Chapter 6-Love'in the library

Scott's pov:

I needed this
An escape
The past few days have been stressful

"We're here" jimmy says with a huge smile on his face

Hidden in the trees is a small building
It looks like the buildings back at Rivendell
The teal roof the white walls
We walk up to the building
There's a plaque on the floor
"Elven Library" is written big in Elvish
Im speechless
I've always want to go here since I was a boy
I turn to Jimmy
tears in my eyes
And I give him the biggest hug
I can only say one thing

"Thank you"

"Don't mention it, I'll do anything to see you happy petal. Shall we"

He never fails to make me happy

"We shall"

After what seemed like forever we found the entrance
I walk in
It's just like the stories
the library's format is like a plus
The walls filled with books
and in each corner of the plus there was a lectern
I spin around in the middle

"It's just like the stories my mother would tell me in my br-"

I stop dead in my tracks
Quick Scott think
Jimmy tilts his head in concern
"-est friend"

"Well why don't we read some?"

"I'd love too"

We go over to the first lectern

It's easy for me to read because knowing elvish
It's apart of the curriculum in Rivendell

But jimmy on the other hand
He looked like a stag in headlights
I chuckled due to the look on his face

"What does it say?" he asked

He looked so eager to learn more

"'The Clash of the Great Stags' it's one of my favorites"

He plopped down next to the lectern
Looking like a little kid

"Well read it to me"
I chuckle

"You remind me of someone"

"who?"

"me...when i was younger me and my friends would sit around the lectern,eager to learn more"

He lets out a huff

"Are you calling be a kid"

I burst out laughing

"You look so cute when your 'mad' " I say letting out one last laugh

"Hey!Just read the story already"

"Ok,ok... Millennia ago the ancient races of this world lived in peace...that was until the corruption spread takin-"

"Wait the same corruption spreading in our empires?"

He looked rather concerned
I couldn't lie to him

"...y-yes now where was I... ah here taking over the kingdoms it infected,wiping out entire civilizations leaving nothing but ruin and destruction in its way"

I glance over at Jimmy
It seemed that thoughts were spiraling his head
He opened his mouth but nothing came out
I continued

"Until the great gods of the land came together to banish the corruption thus ending the darkness and saving the people who followed them"

Jimmy face lit up
A smile
That smile the I love

"By doing so they expended almost all of their power forcing them into a deep slumber... all except two Aeor and... Xoer the great stags''

"Don't you have a church dedicated to Aeor... and a statue"

"Yes he is the protector of Rivendell... shall we continue our story"

"We shall"

I could tell he was loving this

"..For years they ruled together keeping peace and harmony but...Xoer grew jealous of his brother's notoriety as more people started to follow in his ways the more jealous Xoer grew"

I glanced over at jimmy the cod seamed so intrigued so I continued on

"As the two grew apart their followers did too tearing apart community's that once lived together Aeor and his followers believed in peace,equality and preserving life"

I felt a sense of pride and joy flush over me
I continued

"While.. Xoer believed that not ...all were equal ...and shouldn't be treated as such..... they-they umm they held te-te-terrible sacrifices of of the weaker people..in their kingdoms"

The sense of pride was destroyed by embarrassment and sadness
But still I continued

"Before eventually being driven out by Aeor's followers...banished from their lands Xoer and his followers set out into the world...conquering towns and cities..."

Come on Scott
Remember
This is the past
Aeor killed Xoer
He's gone
Right?

"Burdened by the actions of his brother Aeor set out to put a stop to the terror that Xeor was causing. Gathering almost all the strength he had left he engaged in a intense battle with Xoer fighting raged for days between the two gods...seriously injuring both after a grueling battle Aeor eventually overpowered Xeor"

Jimmy let out a yes
He put his hand over his mouth realizing he just said that out loud
I giggle a little and continued

"Using the last of his power Aeor imprisoned him and his followers deep into the mountains never to hurt anyone again"

I turn towards Jimmy

"So what do you think?"
