Hey guys. i should be posting more frequently right now. this is a chrome book im writing on and the keys are so weird. i hate it. -.- anyways, i should stop rambling.

Skylar

I end up leaving the party early. The person I threw the party for didn't even show up. I can't say that didn't hurt me. Was Cairo ditching me for Dejah now? Was I that bad of a friend? Or did she simply have something better to do. Nevertheless, I left the party in a bad mood.

Scratch that, I was simply pissed off. I don't get angry easily. I'm usually a calm and collected person. But ever since I've lived with Ryder, there has been some pent up anger. Every time Ryder has said something degrading it's another time he's pissed me off. And I wasn't sure if I was sad about Cairo or plain angry. I mean, I never even told her the party was for her. Or the fact that it was a party at all. So if she didn't come, it's not really her fault.

But she was supposed to come. I mean, we're best friends. Did I have to verify what the party was for?

I sigh. I don't even know how I'll get home. Ethan was the one who took me, and he has his keys.  And there was no way I was going to ask him for them. He'd probably punch me in my throat.

Okay, so maybe he wouldn't do that. But it looks like I'll be walking.

I release another loud sigh. I guess I could be grateful that the hotel wasn't far. Twenty minutes by car, so maybe forty minutes walking. But I'm feeling angry, so I'll naturally walk faster.

Well I was walking fine. I'd gotten less angry and my feet didn't even hurt. But then something horrible happened.

It started raining. Not the light, drizzle rain. The type of rain that really comes out no where. The type of rain that instantly drenched you.

The sad part? I still had a good fifteen minutes of walking left. And I can blame that on the fact that Ryder lived ten minutes away from any type of civilization. The saddest part? The temperature had dropped drastically. Now this I can blame on stupid spring weather. It's so unpredictable. And I only have a light denim jacket on, so I was shivering uncontrollably.

By the time I actually make it the house, it's windy too. The temperature must be fifty degrees, maybe a little higher. But still cold.

Alec gratefully had the door open by the time I arrived. And the house was warm, but I was still cold. My lips were chapped and cracked despite the rain, and my hands were shaking and red at the top. My hair, which was styled so nicely, was now limp and dripping water droplets.

"Do me a favor and don't get pneumonia?" Alec asks. His voice sounded hopeful, but I could just feel it.

I was going to be sick.

"Keep in mind t-that i-it's raining, w-windy and f-f-freezing," I state through clattering teeth.

Alec releases a sigh and pulls me into his warm arms. Instantly, I wrap arms around his neck and pull myself closer to him. I was so cold and he was warm.

He carries me up the stairs and puts me into my old room. I guess it would kind of be awkward if he took me to Ryder's room. Well, our room.

"I'm gonna run you a bath. In the mean time, take off your clothes," he says. "Or at least your shirt and your pants. I'll leave after that."

There was no way I was going to be half naked in front of Alec. Even if he did have good intentions. It would simply be weird and I'd feel uncomfortable.

As if he notices, he sighs. "You can't stay in those clothes. You're not going to get warm."

Blushing, I quickly undress to my bra and panties while he's in the bathroom. Then, I wrap my purple blanket around me, shivering. I could tell that I was slowly warming up, but I was still cold as ever.
