"And that dismisses class for the day bye kids" the teacher said as the lesson was finished and the bell rung like a morning phone alarm.
"Ugh finally we get to go home" you said while stretching
Nejire nodded as she stood next to you and smiled brightly
"You wanna come over for a bit y/n?" She asked and you felt the tips of your ears get warm
"Yeah sure" you said and pulled out a thing of Pocky before handing her a peice that she took with her lips rather than her hands like she usually did
Her bright bubbly tone contrasted to your quiet and stoic manner yet none the less you were great freind's and you had to admit you liked her a little
"Hey do you think that new movie has come out yet you know the one with the dog" she said excitedly as you both walked to her house
You made a thinking noise and bit into the last piece of Pocky
You were about to walk off the side walk but Nejire stopped you
"Careful y/n you almost stepped in a puddle" she laughed and you just nodded and shrugged it off
"Do you want to go see the movie with me... When it comes out?" You asked and your ears heated up as she looked at you with wide eyes and a smile
"Really!?" She asked and you nodded lightly
"I'd live to!" She said and you smiled lightly at her before paying attention to the walk ahead once again
"Carful, you almost stepped in gum"
"Careful a pole"
"Watch out the lights red"
"There's a biker there Y/n"
"Look both ways"
The whole walk consulted of things like this as she pulled you along
By the time you got to her house she was in defense mode watching for anything and everything that could harm you or cause inconvenience
She treated you like she was a personal guard sometimes but she would often let down her guard if you were safe inside a house where you didn't get much inconvenience
"Y/n" she said and you nodded with a "hm?"
"Everything I so dangerous... You could get hurt, or embarrassed, or something could cause you to have a bad day... I dot. Want that to happen to you" she said with a sweet but also sad smile
"I'll be fine okay, there's nothing to worry about" you said and she smiled widely
"Okay" she said before hugging you unexpectedly
You blushed and hesitantly hugged back but a prick was felt in your side and you groaned
"Sorry... But I have to keep you safe, your the best friend I have... Love ya" she said as your eyes dropped and darkness soon over came her wide ile was the last thing you saw through blurry vision before you fell to the ground
"Time to keep you safe"
