You banged against the rock walls trying to find a way out, trying to push your way through if you had to.

You had to get out now
Before he came back and sang to you making you want to stay with him.

You didn't want this, you didn't want to be the mate of some stupid siren.

Your five year old self had to go and accept some stupid shell, and what's worse is that when you give sirens something that shines in return
You declare yourself their mate

Which means your stuck with him unless you find a way out of this before he can 'mate you' however the heck that was supposed to work

You tried again at the closed off entrance that he usually entered and exited from before sighing and giving up deciding to let yourself just float instead since you found it hard to sink.

"This isn't how I was supposed to live" you whispered to yourself.

You sighed before passing the time with gentle humming as you drifted around the room letting your eyes close

"My darling is calling for me!" Said the siren as he swam quickly into the room and enveloping you in a hug

You tried to get out of it and you stopped your humming the moment he got a hold of you.

"Oh I can't believe you called I can't wait to hear your mating call" he said as he placed his head to yours

You learned that this was their equivalent of a kiss
Something you had no means to participate in so you always kept your  eyes wide open when he did this

"No, that wasn't a call, that was me humming, humans do it when they have nothing else to do" you said and he took his head off yours and looked into your eyes sadly

"But I call to you everyday, you don't have a problem giving into my call, you always want to be my mate when I do" he practically pouted as he kept his long nailed hands on your shoulders

"That's because it affects humans differently, I wouldn't be your mate if you where the last thing on Earth!" You said shoving him away

He looked extremely hurt but this and you wanted to feel guilty but you where far to angry

"And I DON'T want your claim beads in my hair" you then proceeded to pull the beads from the one strand of hair
"And I DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TO BE YOUR MATE" you shouted as you ripped off the shell necklace and threw it to the ground it hardly landed because of the water but you could practically hear it echo off the walls in your imagination

But you definitely regretted that

Because when you saw his face you knew it was bad
You knew that he wasn't happy and that you had royally fucked up

"No, your MINE" he shouted and like a bullet he flew at you, grabbing the necklace that floated in the water before he pinned you against the wall with a speed like no other

You struggled against him trying to push him away but he ended up slamming your head hard against the wall making your vision go black.

You moved against what ever was holding you down and you tried to keep yourself from moving your head when you felt the ache that moving made.

You slowly let your eyes open and the only light that there was was a dim bioluminescent purple that didn't surround the room like all the other lights in the last room did.

You tried your best to adjust to the darkness as you looked around but it was pointless because all you could see was rock, and one more thing.

The shell necklace that you always wore was floating in front of you it bobbed up and down but the necklace was clearly around your neck still.

You slowly tried to move only to realize that your arms and legs where stuck to where you laid.

You started to panic and look around but soon light entered the room as a rock was rolled out of the way like a makeshift door.

"Good... You're awake" he said as he swam closer to you

You noticed that he was on the ceiling as he swam

Or he was on the floor, and you where stuck to the ceiling with anchor chains holding you down.

He looked up at you and you tried to think of something to say but couldn't
You knew the way you reacted earlier was uncalled for
But it was the truth

"Just let me go... Please" you said and he did nothing but look up and smile

He swam up twords you and let both his hands rest on your cheeks as he let himself float to be in the same position as you

He placed his forehead to your own and closed his eyes while holding you there

You figure you owed him at least to close your eyes after spitting in his face like that so you did

"Sorry" he said as he separated with a wide smile

"I can't, but if you can promise to be a good mate I might let you have a few freedoms, you should feel lucky, most Male sirens don't let their mate wander free for so long after finding them, especially human mates" he said and you sighed

You tried not to blame him
After all it was in his nature, but you couldn't help but feel like you where going to explode down here.

"Fine...I'll take the ceiling any day" you said and turned your head away from him like a child

He was silent and a harsh bubbling sound erupted from his throat before you hear him swish his tail in aggravation.

"Fine then be that way, but no matter what you do, you will always be mine

You will always be my mate"
