Part 5: Assert

You and Nex start to look at each other.

N: That was quick.

Y: Friend of yours?

You whisper to him.

N: I- don't remember inviting anyone.

You both get closer to the door.

N: This could really use a peep hole.

Y: I'm trying to find one!

You both whisper.

???: I can hear both of you. Open the door.

A muffled voice says from outside.

Y: Should've been more quiet then.

You said while hitting Nex lightly in the arm.

N: Okay okay, my bad.

You reach for the doorknob and slowly pull the door open. You see a tall man. His shadow looms over you and Nex.

Alright, soo bad guy?

He takes a cold stare at you then slowly moves to Nex.

???: Nex. Where is he.

He says with a casual tone.

N: Uhh, excuse me?

???: Ohh, so that's how you're gonna be.

N: Be what?

He doesn't reply.

He says while shaking the rain off his jacket. He looks away quickly before charging forward with his hands in front of him.

Nex reacts by moving backwards and pulling a knife out of his right pocket to push him out of the house, but he doesn't stop.

His hands go over the knife and pushes Nex's chest, making him fall to the ground. You instinctively move to the side.

???: The animatronic, Nex. That's who.

He says while looking down on Nex. His eyes dart at you next.

???: You must be his new friend.

It takes you a while to answer.

Y: I-I.. H-He-

He looks away from you and observes the inside of the house before turning away to walk back out.

???: It's weird to see you in these parts, Nex.

He says while walking away.

N: Asshole.

He says while quickly standing back up and picking up an empty glass. He throws it at the man while his back was turned.

The glass hits his back, shattering into pieces. The impact makes him flinch, stopping him for a moment.

He takes a deep breath as he continues to walk away from view. Nex clutches his chest as he falls back down.

You quickly close the door and lock it.
