vector fixed his bow tie in front of his mirror, prepping himself for his date with the world's most beautiful woman in the world

"you got this, you're hip, you're cool and you're fly" Vector clicked as he winked to himself in the mirror

feeling brave he opened his door to grab his bouquet and greet his girlfriend

only to see a very annoyed looking teenager waiting for him just by the door

"excuse me vector" espio began

(here we go) vector sighed

"were you ever going to enlighten me of your plans to leave me to babysit on this nightly outgoing you never told me of?" Espio asked with a huff

"how you're talking about it, I'm guessing you already knew" Vector chuckled sheepishly

the chameleon's eyes slanted in amusement

"aww come on don't look at me like that, I'm sorry I didn't tell ya but please, it's just tonight" Vector whined and begged

"fine, all I wanted you to do was ask anyway" Espio sighed, although glad he was seeing the croc talking to him finally

"besides I take care of Charmy all the time, why tonight be any different" Espio shrugged

only for the front door to knock

the crocodile opened the door revealing a happy little rabbit with a little suitcase

"good evening Mr Vector and Mr Espio, thank you for letting us stay for the night," Cream said sweetly as she entered the house with cheese "chaoing" joyfully

"because you're taking care of cream too" Vector added meekly

"excuse-!" Espio began with confusion only to watch vector speed out of the house with flowers in hand

"be good, I'll text to check on you all later, bye!" Vector called as he jumped to join vanilla who was looking with surprise but amusement as they ran out of sight

"chaos dammit vector!" Espio grumbled, hating how easily he had just been tricked

closing the door he exhaled with tiredness

(no matter, I can handle two children) espio thought internally as he walked back to where the children were playing

"charmy of the table!" Espio commanded sternly as he walked into where the kids were playing catch, cream getting a little too close to a flower vase

"oh yeah, the buzz kill" Charmy commented with rolled eyes

"let's hope it never comes to that" Espio muttered as he swiped the ball from the bees grip and threw it outside where it belonged

"now cream, where would you like to set up your sleeping quarters? since vector isn't here you can sleep in his bed if you-" Espio began to offer before charmy interrupted him

"no way! it's a sleepover! we're staying up all night, watching TV and sleeping in the living room" the bee declared determinedly

"right....but where exactly are you going to sleep, our living room is not a comfortable place to sleep, and the couch will not be a suitable area" Espio questioned, finding it odd the bee would even consider sleeping in such a place

"but you do it all the-" the bee began, only this time the chameleon interupted

"meditation, for the millionth time it's not sleeping" Espio sighed with his annoyance growing
