"Romeo, I swear to god that wouldn't have gone anywhere! It's not like that file has any feet and could just magically run around!" I exclaimed over the phone. I was just on my way to grab my lunch when my co-worker, Romeo had called me saying that he has lost a very important file I had handed in to him early morning

"Look, can't you just redo the whole thing? I mea-"

"Redo the whole thing?!? I'm sorry, I don't think you know whole long it took me to finish that whole file! Oh, right, you don't! It was suppose to be your work, but you decided to procrastinate and go out drinking with your friends and now you have lost it!"

"You gave it to me when I was busy and-" then I cut him off again

"Oh, so you're saying it's my fault?! That I had given it to you at a 'wrong' time?!? You know what? Screw you, Romeo! You may have the leading guy's name in a classical romance book, but you'll never be like the Romeo in that book! So piss off!" I quickly hung my phone and rubbed my temple

For god's sake, can't men do anything!?!

I stood in front of the crosswalk path, the traffic light turned green and everyone began walking, as I was walking a sudden sharp pain was felt on my chest, the pain quickly just like as it came, when I took a step forward, I felt another sharp pain

This time, it didn't went away, the pain grew making it harder to breathe or speak, my body stiffen but it grew weak, so weak that I fell on the ground in the middle of path. I wanted to scream for help, but the lack of air I was getting made it impossible

Luckily a guy rushed over to me and called 911, my eyes were getting tired and I began to feel light-headed, my vision slowly got blurrier and blurrier till everything went completely dark

Sooner than later, I opened my eyes only to find myself in a completely different place, I was in a room, big window on my side and the walls where white. I then heard a continuous beeping on my other side, I looked and I saw that it a heart rate monitor

I tried to lift my arm up, but I felt a sudden sting, I glanced down, there was a needle in my arm with a small tube attached to it, I followed the tube and there was a bag hanged up high, my guessed that that bag is giving me IV fluid

When I opened my mouth to try to call somebody, all that came out of me was a small squeal, my mouth and throat was so dry and so are my lips

God, how long have I been here?

Then just to my luck, a doctor came in, when he looked up his eyes widen "I see you're finally awake. Water?" her offered and I nodded, he poured a glass of water and handed it to me, I took it slowly cause my muscles were asleep for a very long time

Once I got to drink almost half of the water, I could finally speak again "H-How long have I been here?" that was first thing I said

"About one week and a half. I'm Doctor Hawk, do you remember what happened?" I tried to recall of the event before how I end up here

"I remember...arguing with my co-worker over the phone...when I was crossing walk path...there was a sharp pain on my chest, then...I think I fainted"

"I see, good thing that someone immediately called the ambulance otherwise, even a few minutes late could've lead you to your death" my eyes widen, shocked by what he just said

"D-Death? What do you mean?" I asked and he sighed

"I'm sorry to say this, but...your heart is failing. You have Congestive heart failure" my breath hitched and my hands began to tremble "You seem pretty healthy with a glance, fit and all, is there anyone in your family that also has Congestive heart failure?" I nodded
