It had been a late night, the young man had decided to stay in the library to make sure any books that had been borrowed and were due in that day had been returned so that Lisa didn't have to early in the morning. The boy didn't mind - really - they liked the stillness and quietness in the Library when it was dark, the only source of light the single lantern he lit. It had gave him a strange sense of calmness.

Though he would've liked it more if he actually had a good day. The first thing that happened was that they couldn't find their glasses in the morning because he hadn't put them in their usual spot on his bedside table, then he couldn't find the clothes he set out for the day, then when trying to find on of the books of 'The Boar Princess', the person who borrowed it spent forever trying to find it when they had already given it in that morning and it just wasn't documented.

He thought spending a little more time in the Library would calm him down like it usually did when no body was there, though that night it just wasn't working. His eyes and legs hurt, he was hungry and he wanted sleep. However, he already put his mind to double check the Library and so he didn't want to do anything before doing so. It was mainly only because it would make Lisa's job of checking easier, but also because Y/n was always anxious that he'd missed one when he went to find the books.

He rubbed his left eye once more, as if it would help get rid of his overwhelming tiredness. Though not a moment later he heard a door open and close, his senses weren't as alert as they were when he was tired and irritated, so he hadn't even notice that it was the door to the library that opened and someone walked in. Though when footsteps came closer towards where he stood, that was when he realised that someone was in the same room as him.

When he turned he saw the blue haired, one eyed captain, he couldn't help stutter in a startled tone, "Kaeya - erm - Captain Kaeya."

The Captain smiled in clear worry, however, "What are you doing up at a time like this, Y/n?"

The brown haired man adjusted his glasses and he chuckled, his own cryo vision hitting his side softly from the quickened movement of his arm, "I was double checking the borrowed books that should have been returned today, so far I've only got one which is new."

Kaeya was six foot one, while Y/n was only two inches shorter, though it still intimidated them when the Captain looked down at the Librarian, which Y/n sometimes cringed at when they thought about it too much.
