There is pain in your eyes,
That is evident in your smile
Nothing is alright
You could simply say that,
Even though I promised.

You asked me that day when will I return,
Your calender is all but filled with criss-cross on each day,
But I am still no where near the way
Even though I promised

Days changed into weeks
So did  months in years
With no trace of mine
You have the right to blame me
For all those beautiful lines
which are now no more than lies
Even though I promised.

I hope you have it in your heart to forgive me
Cause darling
I was already a far away when I opened my eyes,
With nothing but plane blue sky
And your voice shouting in my head to be remain awake for a little while
Now that  I think I should have listened
Cause all I could do is stare at you from a far
With nothing but regert
Even though I  promised.

But don't worry
I can still see you,
Up here from heaven
You are still beauty as you used to be,
But never I knew I would say this at my own funeral.
Even though I promised.

The book you keep benath your pillow,
The portfolio which  soaks all your tears
Burn them in my wake
Now I know they are just in  vain
Can't help me return to the girl
I promised will be my world.

Go ahead make a new friend
With everything in it but promise
I could not be there when you walk down the aisel
Even though I promised.

Forgive me for not being there when you needed me the most,
For all those nights you cried yourself to sleep
For all those sweet  memories which now haunt you as nightmares

Forgive me love,
For that I got lost somewhere in the way
From up here in heaven
I still wish to create a new decemeber, with a different chrismas maybe one in which we could be together.

Forgive me for not being there
Even though I promised...
