KAZ'S POV:
Everything has been going according to plan.
Kaz pulled in some favors to get Nina a drüskelle uniform. But there was no ensuring her safety, all the people Kaz was in contact were from the barrel. He needed someone powerful. someone rich.
Kaz could sense that İnej was near, maybe not in his room but near.
"Just spit it out İnej" he finally said
"İ am worried about Nina's safety in the İce court"
"İ am already taking care of that" he paused and said "actually, maybe you could help"
İnej nodded.
"Who is powerful at the moment that we could blackmail"
İnej was trying to hide her grin "Jan Van Eck's sugar business has been making a lot of profit lately"
Kaz looked at her, god how did this girl know everything
"Do you think we can dig up some dirt on him?" İnej asked
"Every man does foolish things when they think no one is looking, do you know where he lives?"
"Do you really have to ask"
"Go and look for something"
"You have to use a more polite language than that."
Kaz rolled his eyes, but he wasn't really annoyed. "Please my darling İnej, treasure of my heart would you please do me a very small favor and acquire some information on the Van Eck family?"
Kaz turned around after that. He knew that İnej was gone.
