The angels rush out of the quarantined area, and the moment they feel their connection to Heaven restored, everyone starts splitting up to find either their mentors or their acquaintances.

In Aziraphale’s case, he gets treated to both Michael and Gabriel walking right up to him and embracing him.

As they lead him back towards his main resting area, Aziraphale can’t stop himself from singing his own celestial hymn that everyone can hear, and Michael and Gabriel make no move to stop him, just relieved that of all the angels that Fell during the quarantine, their beloved pupil was not one of them.

Until Aziraphale notices, “Oh dear. Where’re the windows to the cosmos?”

Gabriel winces, “The higher didn’t see a point in keeping them.”

Aziraphale deflates at hearing that, “Oh no, that’s not good.”

Michael and Gabriel share a look, but don’t comment.

But then they’re finally at Aziraphale’s resting spot, and he immediately perks up when he sees a surprise.

“You left one open just for me???”

Gabriel smiles, “Yes we did.”

Aziraphale walks over to touch it, “Oh it’s so beautiful.”

Gabriel adds, “And it’s got a new feature: you can change the view, not just stare at it from a long distance.”

Aziraphale looks down at himself, “I’ll just need to change back into my corporation, and I’ll return in a moment.”

He makes a show of walking away, so he completely misses the shared smile between Michael and Gabriel as their student lets out another celestial song.

“So they’re truly going to use the cleansing rune on Heaven, and the healing one on our corporations?” Aziraphale asks, once he’s returned and begins to fool around with his window.

“That’s what Raphael told us.” Michael comments as he watches the view from the window change.

“Oh. Yes. Him I’ve met. Very serious about his job. For a higher up.”

Michael shakes her head, “I truly don’t care what he uses on Heaven, so long as it works.”

Aziraphale agrees, “Of course.”, before finally stopping on a view he likes best: an overview of the garden’s prototype.

“Interesting view.” Gabriel comments, then very suddenly snaps his fingers, and produces a round orange looking fruit. “Now why not a fermented fruit to go with it?”

Aziraphale’s eyes go wide immediately upon recognizing the mango, but doesn’t move to touch it. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve never so much as touched anything from Earth.”

Michael informs him, “We know you’ve been partaking in Earthly delights. You’re not as clever as you think you are, Aziraphale.”

Aziraphale scoffs, “I am not!”

Gabriel backs Michael, “Oh yes, you absolutely are. Who do you think got stuck with all the paperwork so you wouldn’t be demoted?”

Micchae cuts in before Aziraphale can argue again, “Aziraphale, please. Just let him do this for you.”

Aziraphale looks at the fruit one more time, then at Gabriel, before finally giving in, and taking the fruit from his hands enthusiastically.

“I knew it. You’re fired.” Aziraphale freezes at the serious declaration, before Gabriel laughs, “No, not really. Just had to make one joke. Couldn’t resist.”
