The Outback

Dawn came around, the only thing that could disturb the reptiles and Pretty Boy from their sleep. Slowly raising her head, Maddie carefully unwound her-self from Malcolm and rubbed her eyes. "Morning Madds" Said a pleasant voice. Maddie looked to see Malcolm, wide awake and smiling at her. "Did you sleep last night?" Maddie asked, confused as to how he woke up that quick. "I did, I just woke up a bit before you" He answered. Now it was Maddie's turn to smile. They then noticed the rest of the group waking up, a sly smile then came over his face. "Hey Maddie" He said getting her attention, he then whispered the rest to her. when the rest of the group woke up properly their eyes all fell on Maddie and Malcolm who were still standing ahead of them. "Alright mates, ready to go?" Malcolm asked. "As ready as I'll ever be" Pretty Boy said. This surprised the others but they all agreed. "Splendid, shall we move Madds?" Malcolm asked turning to Maddie while smiling. "Ready when you are my love" Maddie said while smiling. They then shared a quick kiss, and when they pulled back the basked in the bewilderment of the rest of the group. Except for Zoe, who slightly smiled and whispered under her breath. "I had a feeling they would someday" "What was that?" Frank asked. "N-nothing, come on lets go" She said hastily, and quickly moved ahead with the others following behind her.

"What's the first thing your gonna do when we get there?" Maddie asked as they moved through a forest part. "I'm gonna build a clubhouse where we can all meet" Nigel said. "Forget that, I'm gonna find a girlfriend" Frank replied. "Maybe I could build a home for me and Maddie" Malcolm thought to himself. "What about you PB, what are you gonna do?" Maddie asked. "I don't know really, this is the first time in my life I haven't been in the spotlight, I just, wanna have some authentic conversations do a bit of yoga, maybe some meditation,  just really shed the suvicheallity of fame and beauty and-" He stopped when he gasped and looked over to his left, the others turned to see what he was looking at and saw, koalas sitting in a tree relaxing and having a good time. Frank, Zoe and Malcolm just looked confused and disinterested. "Pretty people" Pretty Boy said in amazement and joy. Then he started running towards the koalas. "Right, I guess you wanna walk away, o-or sprint, o-over there, w-wait! wait! PB" Maddie called after him causing him to turn around "Isn't there something your forgetting?" She asked. 'gasp' oh my god I'm such a fool" he said coming back to the reptiles. Maddie smiled. "I knew you wouldn't for-" She was cut off when Pretty Boy squirted juice from Frank and wiped it over his hair, then he used Zoe as a comb, much to her displeasure. After that he ran back towards the tree. "So that's it your leaving?" Maddie called as he climbed up the tree. "Fine, good ridence" Maddie said annoyed. "Come on guys, forget him, let's just go" Malcolm said. And with that the reptiles moved away from the tree and continued on their way.

They continued moving over rocks, through branches and along sand. "I can feel it" Maddie said. "I can smell it, it smells like, home" She finished as they came to the top of a high rock they saw... the mountains from Jackie's story."everyone look, it's the mountains Jackie told us about" Nigel cried in joy. "Their so big" Zoe said in amazement. "And mountainie" Frank replied. "And seaenitie" Nigel replied. "Well what are waiting, last one in's a deadly disgusting venom-is creature" Maddie called and then jumped down and started heading towards the mountains. "Your on Madds!" Malcolm called diving in after her, with the others following behind him. "Wow feel that sand guys, that's actual outback sand" Frank said as he glided down on a web parachute. "And the rocks aren't plastic" Nigel cried as he bounced down. When they reached the bottom and were standing in-front of the mountains they stared in amazement."Look, welcoming committee" Nigel said pointing at other creatures who began moving out form behind rocks and down the mountains. "They all look like us" Malcolm said in amazement. Frank then looked to his left and saw a female funnel-web spider... Then he started his mating dance while making his way over to the spider girl, lifted her front leg and kissed her...Hand? "Sorry mate mating season ended yesterday" The girl said. Frank hung his head and walked back to the group where Zoe gave him his twig. "Do ya think they know were from the city?" Maddie whispered to Zoe and Malcolm. "I love what you've done with the place" Nigel butted in. "The colors are look organic and textual" "They do now" Zoe whispered. The welcoming committee then suddenly left and crawled back behind the rocks. "Nice one Nigel, you scared away the welcoming committee" Frank said annoyed slightly. Just then the ground started to shake and a rumble was herd in the distance. "I don't think it was Nigel mate" Malcolm said as they looked towards where the rumble was coming from. A jeep the came speeding over the the mounds along with a army of motorcycles. "Everyone hide, into the rocks" Maddie cried. They got separated as the motorcycles sped around them. "Are you ok Maddie?" Malcolm asked worriedly as they got on-top of one of the rocks. "I'm fine, where are the others" Maddie said looking around. They then saw the others get caught in a net. "No!" Maddie cried and moved down the rocks with Malcolm following behind her. When they reached the top of one of the rocks, some rocks Malcolm was standing on gave way and took him down with them, Maddie grabbed onto him with her tail but Malcolm was to heavy and took her down with him. And they landed on Chazzie who quickly throw them off and covered his face thinking they were gonna bite him... But they didn't, he uncovered his face to see Maddie covering her face and looking scared and Malcolm looking just as scared while holding his tail in-front of her protectively. Chazzie then realized that they were just as scared as he was, they just wanted to get home, and that his dad had been wrong the whole time. "Your trembling" He said. "So am I" Maddie removed her tail from her face and Malcolm lowered his tail, both realizing that Chazzie was just as scared as they were. The moment was then interrupted when both Maddie and Malcolm were grabbed by claws and tossed into a glass box next to the one their friends were in. Infuriated, Malcolm banged on the glass but to no avail. "This time theirs no one to save you" Chazz said to grinning evilly at them. "Let's go mates" He called to the others and started to drive away. Maddie stared sadly at the mountains as they moved further away, Malcolm felt his heart break knowing that they had come all this way for nothing. They all put their paws and tails against the glass. "At least we tried, right?" Nigel said meekly. Malcolm then looked to his left just in time to see Chazzie quickly push the boxes, Maddie and Malcolm's fell off and smashed setting them free. But Zoe, Frank and Nigel's got stuck and didn't fall off. "No!" Maddie cried moving after them. "NO, WAIT! Bring them back" She cried. She and Malcolm chased after them, but they weren't fast enough. They stopped as the jeep disappeared over the mounds. Maddie felt tears coming to her eyes, she covered her face as she cried, Malcolm putting his tail around her. They stayed like that for a minuet before Maddie quickly broke free of Malcolm's embrace and quickly slithered back towards the mountains with Malcolm in-tow. "Help me please" She called out to the other animals causing them to come out of their hiding spots. "We have to go after them" Maddie said causing the other animals to gasp as though she said there had been mass murder. "It's way to scary out there" a head frill neck said "But, your suppose to be our families, your the reason we came all this way" Maddie protested. "Sorry love but none of us have ever left before" The goanna said "Then it's about time you did!" Malcolm said angrily. "Yeah, and if you don't help us we'll rip you apart and turn you into a pair of shoes" said a familiar voice "Pretty Boy?" Maddie and Malcolm said confused as to why he was here. "And not a nice pair of shoes either, the cheap nasty kind, yeah i'm talking to you brown snake, don't you turn your backs on- ok they've turned their backs on me, yep their defiantly gone, I probably should have kept my mouth shut" He said then turning to Maddie and Malcolm. "What are you doing here, why aren't you with the other koalas?" Maddie asked. "Um, yeah, that, didn't really work out, it wasn't what  I thought it was gonna be. He said. be honest, do you think koalas can be a bit shallow?" He then asked. "I don't belong with them, in fact it feels like the only place I do belong, is with you guys" He said. Maddie smiled, Malcolm however was surprised. "Alright, who are you and what have you done with Pretty Boy" Malcolm said playfully. Pretty Boy laughed. "I'm not sure, and anyways it's good that I came back, I mean I leave you guys alone and the whole gang gets captured" "I know I know I should never have brought them out here" Maddie said dropping to the ground. "What are we gonna do?" She asked beginning to cry. Until she felt something lift her head up and found her-self staring into Malcolm's eyes. "Were gonna do what we do best, hope, hope drove us to come here and keep going after everything, we will hope that we get our friends back, and I'll be with you every step of the way, even if it takes a hundred years to do it" Malcolm said while wiping away her tears with the tip of his tail. Maddie smiled, then quickly leaned forward and kissed him, when she pulled back she nuzzled into his chest. "Thank you Malcolm" She said. "Anytime my love" Malcolm said. He then noticed Pretty Boy looking out of place. "Get in here PB" Malcolm said. Pretty Boy walked over and wrapped his arms around both snakes. "But really, how are we gonna get them back?" Maddie asked as they removed themselves from the hug. "Don't worry I've got an idea" Pretty Boy said smiling.

"Remember if anyone asks were stunt animals on mad max and were looking for herein maker" Pretty Boy said as he, Maddie and Malcolm snuck around near a shed by a road. Pretty Boy then opened the door and there in the shed was a large red truck. "We can't take that!" Maddie said in amazement. "Sure we can, it's just a loan, besides theses guys love me" He said while walking over and into the truck. "Hey check this out" He said. And all of a sudden a loud sound and bright lights were produced from the truck startling Maddie and causing Malcolm to cover his (Non-existent) ears. Pretty Boy saw this and quickly turned it off. "Rest in peace my hearing" Malcolm groaned, removing his tail from his head. "Well, I guess it will have to do, come on Malcolm" Maddie said. And with that Malcolm followed her into the truck. "Alright guys" Maddie said with determination. "Let's go save the others"
