There were hardly few days remaining for Saad's wedding but the announcement of Yusra and Saim's divorce had left the house in a gloomy state and the effects were already being seen. Saad and Saim were not on talking terms despite, Saim trying his best to mend things with his brother Saad didn't want that to happen. Sara too gave Saim a cold shoulder making him guilty of the things he had done. Zaim and Zara spoke to him; Zaim keeping it minimum to work while Zara would look after his food and arranging his clothes.

As for Yusra, Sara never let Saim interact with Yusra and that frustrated him. The one and only time he had a talk with her was the same day when he had informed his mother about their divorce; apologizing for not discussing it with her and even before she could reply Sara had walked in asking Saim to keep his distance from Yusra. But he found it hard. He always found himself lingering around Yusra and even though she could see it she couldn't do anything. She didn't want to go against her mother-in-law so she maintained her distance. But she made sure that he had his food and his things on hand. She would instruct Zara about his clothing before sending her to her brother and would always plate out his food for him, sending it through Zara to his room as he had started neglecting his food due to the tension.

The wedding shopping had began. Yusra and Zara would be gone all day shopping with Saad, while Sara would look after other necessary arrangement. Saim was given the duties of the venue along with the caterer for the reception and pre-wedding functions that would take place.

And as Yusra and Zara walked out, informing Sara about their departure, going on a search for bridal dress for Erum's reception, greeting Muskan and Manal on their way, Sara glanced at Saim who was walking down gazing at Yusra walk away, while she hadn't noticed his presence.

Her heart ached noticing her son, being all gloomy and the dark circles didn't look good either. As he greeted his aunt's, Sara turned her gaze away from him, not wanting to go soft on him. One look from him and she knew that she would melt. He held that power just like his father. She continued choosing the design for the wedding cards, that would be going to a few hundreds they had finalized. They had planned on keeping the reception simple and less of crowd.

"Never knew Khan boys had done PhD in stupidity." Muskan commented as she took a seat next to Sara, while Manal sat on the other side, taking the invite book from Sara, ignoring Muskan's comment.

"What do you mean?" Sara asked her eyes on the window that made it clear to watch Saim drive away with Hasham before turning to Muskan, "I meant, that- it is so clear that he loves Yusra, that longing look in his eyes says it all yet he wouldn't do anything, just like his father." Muskan explained rolling her eyes and Sara sighed knowing it all too well.

"Can't agree more," Manal said pointing a finger at one of the design making the girls to smile at her support before glancing at where she pointed.

While Yusra had done a good job hiding her emotions from everyone, suppressing her thoughts to herself, Saim could be read as an open book. Despite being the one to have announced their divorce, someone would find it hard to believe it. He was always found gloomy or agitated for no reasons.

"When is Anaya appi and Nabhan coming?" Muskan asked looking at the clock, while Sara and Manal shook their head.

"They were supposed to be here in the morning, but their flight got delayed." Manal informed, remembering the time she had a talk with Anaya before making it out of her house.

"You think I should do something to stop the divorce?" Sara asked waiting for some advice from her best friends.

The news of Yusra and Saim's divorce had spread like fire in the entire family resulting in chaos. Everyone had called themselves uninvited, trying to mend things between the couple despite not knowing the real reason. Saim had made it known that he didn't want Yusra's life opened in front of anyone so Sara had just given them briefs about the divorce leaving the whole family in shock.
