I don't want it.

And I don't want to want you.

I think to myself, doodling in my math notebook.

She's right next to me, looking cuter than a newborn puppy.

And I know, I shouldn't even think that either.

She's my friend's sister, but I didn't know that.

Before, I just knew C/n as the hot bisexual girl from Drama, then I met her brother and we became fast friends.

I was just recently told she was his sister and me and my homies have a pact.

No dating your homie's sister.

Which really sucks cuz she's just my type and she has just the cutest laugh I have ever heard.

It's so dorky and adorable, ugh.

But in my dreams I seem to be more honest

And I must admit, you've been in quite a few.

I seal my drawing with a heart.

"Y/n."

I look up and my teacher's eyes are on me.

"What's (some difficult math problem)?"

"400 cubed."

"Excellent!"

"See what paying attention and taking good notes gets you?"

"A genius like Y/n."

I give a weak smile and they continue their lesson.

Yeah, I'm good at math and have all A's.

Not a lot of Senior's do, especially because of Senioritis, but what good is that when you're a awkward kid with social anxiety?

Heck I struggle to talk to my closest friends sometimes.

And I've never been on a date before and I'm almost eighteen.

How sad is that?

"Hey Y/n."

I turn and C/n has her eyes on me.

"I heard this year's drama banquet is gonna be announced next period."

She whispers.

"Really?"

"That's what Ian told me."

"Cool."

"Are you gonna go?"

"Uh I don't know.."

Halley's Comet.

Comes around more than I do.

"Oh c'mon, it'd be so fun if you came."

"B/f/n will probably be there and I've seen how tight you guys are."

"Maybe he'll ask you out."

"Well I would hope not, I'm gay and he knows that."

"You are?"

"Uh.. how many straight people do you know in Drama?"

She goes silent for a few seconds.

"Not many."

She laughs her infectious laugh, leading me to giggle too.

The bell rings and I start shoving my papers into my binder.

"So, could I persuade you Y/n?"

I zip up my backpack and her hand is on my desk.

I try to hide my blushing face, grabbing my backpack and standing up.
