College Collage Pt.1 💞💓

This was a request and this requester didn't give me the gender of either Y/n and C/n so in this story I'm using the gender neutral they/them for both leading characters 💗

"Alright last box."

I say, pulling the contents of it out.

"Okay."

I chuckle lightly.

"This is an easy one to place."

I take the framed photo of my best friend and I, setting it on my nightstand.

I hope they're almost done unpacking so we can meet up.

I place my old alarm clock next to the photo.

"Alright plushies..."

I gather my stuffed friends in my arms and stand up.

"Be free!"

I throw them onto my twin sized bed.

I beam watching them fall onto my striped sheets.

"Little cuties."

I gush joyfully.

"As for these Switch games."

I comment staring at the last contents in the box.

"Bottom drawer."

I acquire the game cases and stuff them in their newly assigned spot.

"And done!"

Now that the hardest part is over..

Time to harass my best friend to no end.

I snatch my phone from my own pocket and speedily unlock it.

Y/n:Are you done unpacking yetttttttt?

Classes don't start until tomorrow so we can spend the day together getting a feel around the campus.

At least that's what I'm hoping for.

We never agreed to anything so I shouldn't be getting excited over nothing, but it's C/n.

I've had a bit of a crush on them since our sophmore year, but it's no biggie.

Right?

It's not like I've been pining or waiting for them to notice me romantically for years.

Ugh who am I kidding?

I strayed away from dating for them.

This year I won't be though, if someone cute asks me out this year I'm saying yes.

Minutes fly by and nothing.

I'll just sit on my floor all alone because my roomate went out with their friends.

I gawk at the white ceiling above me.

Man this ceiling is boring.

My phone buzzes and I flick my head in its direction and turn that puppy on.

Ha!

They did respond.

I type my passcode in and read their message to myself.
