Osam pulled up into the town hours away from his city to get a few things before he went on the run. He parked his car and pulled his cap over his head to hide his hair just in case someone back in the city had told the police to be on the lookout. He kept his gun in its holster, covered by his shirt just in case he became desperate.

As he was about to walk into the clothing store, his eyes landed on the backs of the two women he had been looking for. He could identify them even when their backs were turned to him.

His nose flared in anger and instead of going into the store, he advanced towards the women who were talking to someone in the street. His hand slowly went towards his gun, his fingers twitching.

He was going to end everything now and here...

Even if he died in the end.

After all, he had just lost everything that he had worked half his life for.

It was time for the showdown.

.

The Chief of police glared at his men, spitting on the ground. He had been calling and sending out men to search for Osam but none of them had found him and the police stations he had called were still looking in their towns but so far, nothing had turned up.

His phone suddenly rang. He grabbed it.

"WHAT?" he barked into the receiver.

Someone spoke at the end of the line and without a word, the Chief yanked the phone and threw it against the wall where it shattered into bits of plastic and metal.

"Chief?" one of his men asked.

The burly Chief turned to him, his whole face and neck red.

"What is going on?" his man asked.

"Someone has spotted Osam," the Chief breathed.

"Isnt that good news?"

"Not if he has found his two women and someone else that he was not supposed to find."

"Who?"

The Chief grabbed his car keys and rushed out of his office, hoping he wasn't going to be too late.

.

Osam stopped short when the women turned, revealing the person they were speaking to. His jaw dropped to the ground. His brow furrowed.

"Charles?! Charles Francis?!"

Elena and Beatrice stared at the gun in his hand, aiming between all three.

"Osam," the man said.

"How?" was all Osam said, breathing heavily from the shock that had seized him. He could not believe his eyes!! Charles was alive!! How?!

The man laughed.

Elena's heart dropped to her stomach.

"It's good to see you, old friend."

Osam suddenly grinned. "You sly old bastard!! You came to this town?!"

Beatrice glanced at Elena and she caught the forlorn expression on her face. Elena shook her head and Beatrice's eyes widened. She glanced at the smiling man beside her.

"Tommy?!"

He suddenly pulled a gun from behind him and turned it on Elena and Beatrice, walking backwards towards Osam with a creepy, sly smile on his scarred face.

Now it was two armed men against two unarmed women.

"What's going on?" Beatrice asked.

"Set up," Elena said through clenched teeth, spit flying in anger. "They fucking set us up."
