So y/n was living on the streets all their life not even living, surviving. They stole they rebelled. Eventually they came up with a plan to get out of this place. Turns out, through a VERY LONG AND COMPLICATED HISTORY. Y/no's grandpa slept around and y/n's dad did the same. So your grandpa slept with Abuelas grandma... basically your like... a cousin? I think? But technically you are a madrigal. But like VERY FUCKING DISTANT. Idek if that even counts as being related... cause there's your grandpa, fucking tons of people including your grandma. They had your dad and abuela so they both are step family. Uhhh either way it's complex to the point where your not even related anymore

You got on a ship illegally as a stowaway but we're found out and got put to work on the ship if you wanted to stay on the ship and not be turned into fish food. eventually you go to the coast of the New World as they called it and you were gonna be turned into the authorities but you escaped. BARELY. seeing as you are now free to some extent you managed to make a living by scamming people and stealing because what else were you supposed to do? you didn't speak fluent English yet so how were you supposed to get a job in a very racist country at the time that primarily spoke English? exactly you cant. so through out your time in the Americas you've been scamming and stealing and working your way down since you didn't know where the west would take you seeing as the maps didn't have much to say about the west. so you headed south towards Mexico and Venezuela and basically south America in general. you were maybe about 12 at this point so you managed to speak fluent English. three years of travelling around south America and you ended up in Columbia and met the town of Encanto and now here you are.
