Chapter 8 🦊🐰

As the winds around (y/n) shifted he took a silent breath before he took off and clashed against Rumi with extreme speed.
The battle was on equal footing as every student admired them, soon enough Rumi managed to land a heavy blow on (y/n) which knocked him back and made him lose ground.
Rumi didn't waste her chance to lay beating in (y/n) while his guard was almost broken then as she drove her foot into his chest (y/n) tensed his muscles at the last second absorbing the power of her kick

"Not this again" Rumi grunted

(y/n) pushed onwards pasted her last attack before slamming his fist into her stomach and driving his elbow up to her chin and to finish it off a strait heavy kick to her abdomen which sent her flying but not before she caught herself and landed back on the ground

"Divine ravine"

"You know I'm getting real tired of your bullshit martial arts," Rumi said with a smirk

"I could always teach you" (y/n) shrugged with a smug

But then just as he was about to speak again his instincts went off and (y/n) quickly turned around and deflected a kick but was nearly scathed when a sudden tail whipped around and almost landed if he'd hadn't lowered his head in time.
As he watched his opponent skid away from a distance (y/n) quickly lowered himself and formed his hands into fists while simultaneously having his right arm over his head while his left remained at his side

"You've gotten better kid but you're still a little off-balance," he said

(Y/n)'s new opponent took a strong karate stance while holding his hands into tight fists but the most noticeable thing about him was a bright smile on his face

"It's nice to see you again!" The boy said with eager intention and a cunning grin

"Hey what's with the smile we're opponents are we not" (y/n) said

"Yes that's right"

(Y/n) whipped his arms around his body as he jumped into the air and came down with a heavy ax kick but as he hit the ground the boy dodged away and proceeded to counter with another kick of his own but unfortunately before he got the chance to prepare the attack (y/n) rolled backward and lunged at him with a straight jab.
The boy didn't expect his recovery attack and quickly recoiled backward letting (y/n)'s jab whiff by his face by mere inches

(Y/n) was about to throw another jab when Rumi interrupted him and forced him away to where he backward somersaulted a good distance

"Rumi, right now? The kid and I were having a moment" (y/n) said as he threw his arms to his side

Rumi completely ignoring (y/n) glanced at the boy and spoke to him in a straight and firm tone
"kid, not the time to get all soft seeing another martial artist, he's your opponent so focus on the task at hand or next time there won't be another hero there to give you assistance"

Rumi then dashed at (y/n) as both their wrists clashed against each other
Rumi reached her other arm over and gripped
(y/n)'s top then she raised her leg and kicked toward his lung but was blocked when he raised his leg intercepting it

Rumi grunted in frustration as she glanced at him as (y/n) did the same than in a brief moment both their crimson eyes met

Suddenly Rumi whipped her head backward and (y/n) did the same, then when both reached the maximum distance their necks could go they both lunged forward at the same time as their foreheads collided with each other

A loud crunch was heard between the two as all the students simultaneously "oooh" at the same time

Both Rumi and (y/n) fell to the ground rolling in pain and cupping their heads trying to seize the pain but to no avail
