Chapter 23

High above the clouds in the dense forest of a mountain the sounds of melodies awarded the atmosphere from nearby birds but they suddenly came to a halt when the overwhelming sound of crashing wood was heard and disturbed the birds causing them to flee their perch, from below the forest floor a lone fox (y/n) was in the midst of his vigorous training taming his muscles and striking the trees that surrounded him from all sides so much so that the outer scalp of the wood peeled away then with a heavy blow he shattered the trunk of a tree with the bash of his shoulder crafting a devising dent into the tree

Panting at his actions (y/n) looked down at his body ruined in scrapes and peeled skin drenched in leaking blood...it felt good
Then with a hardened breath, the fox managed to control his breathing for a moment before a voice disturbed him
"Wow...so this is all you do up here huh?" A chirpy voice announced

"Training? Yes, unlike you I don't go around waving a knife around people's faces and then drinking their blood I use what is given to me" he responded

With a questionable look and a bored expression, Toga balanced one of her well-used knives on her finger
"Uh huh and where exactly did you learn this thing from?" She asked

"I was raised by a monkey who knew all but yet couldn't speak, hear, or see. And he despised evil" the fox said while extending his leg upward over his head stretching

"You liar! You told Twice you were taught by a time traveler and he took care of you to escape his time!" She shouted throwing her knife at him

Quickly ducking the blade (y/n) stretched his other leg
"So what brings you here? You can't sit still knowing The League is on its final pillars?" He said with a sly smile

"Funny you should say that...we have a mission," she said with a toothy grin

"I think you mean you have a mission!" the Fox announced turning his full body toward Toga

Supposedly shocked by the sudden change in attitude from (y/n) she quickly asked for an explanation
"What are you talking about?"

(y/n) went on to stare directly into her sharp eyes before he continued his sentence,
"I have done with the Leauge of Villains," he said broadly, his words were almost like venom that crept into her ears, Toga grinned her teeth at the fox's words

"So what you're just done, like that! After everything we've done together? You can't just leave (y/n) you're a villain with a warrant on your head, you won't be able to go anywhere, hehe" he maniacal giggle crept from her words but no matter how much (y/n) wanted to ignore them she was right he was a villain and couldn't escape his consequences, he even killed someone for God's sake just for a hero he knew...

Rumi, that name lingered in his mind for a long while no matter how many crimes or laws that were broken by him there was someone who would always look past that to see the person in front of them, nonetheless (y/n) broke away from his thoughts and crossed his arms staring at the chuckling girl

"You're right I might not be able to change who I am or what I did but I should stop associating myself with people like the League before it gets worse" he boasted before graciously moving his hands into a new stance glossing his right hand over his left shoulder while left arm hung open in front of his body

"Leave Toga I don't want to have to make another bad decision," he said digging his heels into the ground, unfortunately, the blonde villain wasn't having any of it as her blood boiled and she instantly lunged at the fox wielding knives in both hands screaming from the top of her lungs
"Traitor!"
