𝗜 𝗪𝗢𝗞𝗘 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗔 𝗝𝗢𝗟𝗧, all of us at the back groaning as we held our heads. We hadn’t expected the abrupt start, but as I looked out of the windscreen, I saw Tripp standing in front of the car with his hands outstretched. As Eleanor pulled completely to a stop, Tripp walked around to her window, speaking through it.
Eleanor: Great. What now?
Tripp: I’ve got some bad news.
Javier: So what’s going on?
We all got out of the car apart from Kate and Eleanor, Conrad standing closer to the gas station.
Tripp: Well, we got a bunch of cars clogging the underpass. Too many to drive through. We’re gonna need to move some of ‘em outta the way.
Gabe: Hey. I’m coming, too.
Mariana: Me, too.
Eleanor: I’ll stay with Kate and keep a lookout.
Javier: Yell at us if anything happens.
Tripp: Awfully convenient the pass is blocked like this.
