THREE DAYS LATER
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗦, seeming like the first sunny day in a while. I felt the warm breeze on my face, my new jacket fitting perfectly and the sleeves rolled up to show some of my scars. I had my bandana around my neck, dad’s hat on my head and boots on my feet. Me and Clementine walked over to Javier, Gabe and Jesus in the now peaceful square. Jesus caught sight of me, riding over on his horse and he gave me a broad smile.
Emma: You heading out?
Jesus: Got to look after my people. What about you?
Emma: Don’t know just yet. But me and Clem will work it out.
Jesus: Don’t lose hope, Emma. I think you’re gonna be just fine.
Emma: I feel blessed, Jesus.
He shrugged with a chuckle and rode away with a small wave. I smiled, walking with Clementine over to Javi and Gabe, Lingard appearing beside them.
