Steve was shocked by Natasha's state, blood running from her nose, her face bruised and tears falling down her cheeks.

"What the hell happened" he asked in both concern and anger

"Alexi came, he took Evan" she replied as a few more tears fell down her cheeks

Steve's jaw clenched as he heard those words.

'how dare he hurt her' he thought to himself as he got up from his spot on the floor went into the living room and grabbed his keys off the coffee table

"What are you going to do" Natasha asked him worriedly as she followed him into the living room

Steve didn't say anything he just took his keys and left the house angrily. Natasha worried about her boyfriends state did the only thing she could think of at the time, call her brother.

"Hello" Clint greeted as he picked up the phone

"Clint I need your help, I think Steve's going to do something stupid" Natasha said hurriedly trying to get all the information out all at once

"Woah, woah, calm down, what happened" he asked worried

Natasha took a deep breath before explaining what had happened to her and Steve's current state.

"I'm on my way" he said as he started the engine of his truck before he hung up the phone

Natasha let out a sigh as more tears fell from her eyes.

Shortly after Natasha's phone call with her brother there was a knock at her door. Learning from her mistake Natasha checked the peephole to make sure that it was Clint and once she saw him she opened the door. Clint looked at his sister anger building up inside him as he saw the bruises and blood on the red heads face.

"Alexi did this to you" he asked almost shouting

Natasha nodded slowly

"I'm gonna kill him" Clint said lowly

"No, no you won't, you'll lose your badge and I don't want you to lose it because of me" Natasha stated as she pointed a strict finger at him

Clint sighed in defeat realizing his sister was right "did Steve say where he was going" he asked as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall trying to change the subject

Natasha sighed as she shook her head "I'm worried about him, what if he does something stupid" she asked lowly

Clint sighed "have you tried calling him"

Natasha nodded "five times, he won't answer"

"Damnit" he muttered "why didn't you call me when Alexi was here"

"I couldn't Clint, I was to busy trying to keep my son away from his father which obviously didn't work because how am I supposed to protect my son when I can't even protect myself" she shouted frustratingly with tears in her eyes

Clint wrapped his little sister in his embrace before kissing the top of her head "I'm gonna get you out of this" he promised her lowly

Natasha let tears fall onto her brothers shirt as she hugged him tighter not wanting to let him go.

Meanwhile,

Steve was driving as fast as he could, breaking almost every traffic law there is. Did he care no, he needed to see Peggy and the sooner the better. As Steve arrived at the Barnes residence he walked up the front steps before knocking on the front door harshly.

"What the hell" Bucky muttered under his breath as got up from the bed and threw on a robe before walking to the front door and opening it "Steve, what the hell are you doing here, your not supposed to pick up Lizzie till Monday" Bucky said as he saw his old friend on his doorstep "what happened" he asked with furrowed eyebrows as he noticed the look of rage on the blondes face

"I need to talk to Peggy" Steve stated "it's important" he added

Bucky let out a sigh before opening the door and letting his friend inside "I'll go get her, you, um, make yourself comfortable" he said as he made his way to the staircase

Steve nodded and Bucky walked up the steps to fetch his wife. Shortly after the sound of foot steps could be heard coming down the steps but it wasn't the brunette he was expecting. Steve smiled as his little girl came walking down the steps and into the living room.

"Daddy?" Lizzie questioned

"Hey baby" Steve greeted with a smile

Lizzie ran up to her father and gave him a hug "did I sleep through the weekend" she asked with furrowed eyebrows as she pulled away from the hug

Steve chuckled lightly  as he shook his head "no sweetheart, I'm here to talk to Uncle Bucky and mommy" he replied

Lizzie nodded in understanding "does that mean I can go back to bed"

Steve nodded "yes sweetie"

As Lizzie made her way up the steps her mother and Uncle Bucky were making their ways down the steps.

"Steve, what's going on" Peggy asked with furrowed eyebrows as she tightened her robe

"It's Natasha" he replied

Peggy and Bucky furrowed their eyebrows

"Did something happen" Peggy asked Steve concerned

"Alexi came into her house took Evan and hit her she's messed up pretty bad" he replied

"Come into my office" Peggy said as she started walking towards the door of her home office

Steve nodded before following the brunette

"I'll make some coffee" Bucky said as he walked towards the kitchen

The next morning Natasha woke up on a couch in her brothers house. She let a few tears fall as she sat up on the couch and remember the events of last night.

"We're going to get him back" Laura said as she sat on the couch next to her friend wrapping a arm around her shoulder

"How" Natasha questioned as she looked at her friend

"You do have the best lawyer in all of New York on your side" Laura replied with a small smirk

Natasha let out a small chuckle before the sound of her phone ringing interrupted her conversation with the brunette. Natasha got up from the couch before walking over to her phone, she sighed in relief before picking it up.

"Steve, thank God, where are you" she said as she picked up the phone

"I'm on my way to your house" he replied

"I'm at Clint's" she interrupted

"Then I'm heading to Clint's, I'll see you in a hour tops" he said before hanging up the phone

Natasha sighed as she put the phone back down on the counter

"Was that Steve" Laura questioned

Natasha nodded

"What did he say" Laura asked curiously

"Nothing much, just that he's on his way" Natasha replied honestly

Laura nodded
