~Chapter 21~

Many handsome, well dressed men and gorgeous looking women were attending the ball. The crystal chandelier hanging high above the ceiling makes the place lively and bright.

I step in the large mansion, looking around in awe as people were drinking and chatting. I turn towards Mikey who's behind me, waiting for his order

"For now, let's all split up" Mikey noticed my puzzled look as he spoke.

"Isn't better to stay together though? What if something happens?" Kokonoi doubted Mikey's decision. Mikey stared at Kokonoi for a while, thinking.

"I think we should split up, it'll be faster to search for her" Takeomi lowered his voice as we walked deeper inside

"Yeah, I agree plus if we all stayed together it would look kind of suspicious if she saw us" I said also lowering my voice but made sure they heard it

They all nodded, agreeing with me as Kokonoi just shrugs in agreement and mumbles something under his breath.

"And let's have fun while we're at it" Sanzu said out of the blue, making me turn to him as he smile cheekily at me.

"And what about the others? Should we go warn them?" I ask them as Mikey thought about something before turning to us.

"I'll tell them...and you guys don't be reckless" then Mikey went off to disappear somewhere in the crowd, leaving us.

We all just shrug and went our separate ways, but before I was able to went off on my own, someone grab my wrist.

"(Y/n), be careful okay?" I turn my head to look at Kokonoi who had a worried look on his face.

I look down at his hand gripping my wrist. I take his hands and cover it with mine as I stare into his eyes with a curious look.

"I-I just have a feeling that something is gonna go wrong..." Kokonoi said, blushing and avert his eyes from me

"I'll be careful" I said as I let his hands go. He nodded and with that, we part ways.

I went over to the table, full of magnificent and delicious appetizers. I was about to reach to grab one when someone rudely pushed me aside, making me bump into the person next to me

Feeling upset, I wanted to rip the person's throat but changed my mind when I saw that I had accidentally spilled the champagne on the person I had just bump

"I'm sorry, it was an accident" I apologize as he bent down to grab his mask that I just knock down

"It's alright, thankfully it didn't stain my clothes" The person finally look up to smile at me as he put the empty glass on the table

I was in shock when I saw him. He has a light lilac colored hair but a bit of black streaks was mixed in, it made me question myself if he was...him

Although when I finally look into his lavender eyes, all my doubts fade away.

'I remember those eyes' I was suddenly overcome with memories of the unforgotten past

Takashi Mitsuya...I often hangout with him and Draken. Although I could be wrong and that he's not Mitsuya?

"M-Mitsu-" I instantly covered my mouth, hoping he didn't know who I was

"Excuse me? I didn't hear you" Mitsuya put his mask back on as he waited for me to respond.

"...nothing...anyway I'm sorry for earlier" I sigh in relief, Mitsuya didn't seem to recognize me behind my mask

"Don't worry, it's not your fault" Mitsuya chuckled and gave me a friendly smile.
