CHAPTER 5

              KING'S POV

I was frustrated when dad called me to his office, I have alot of things to do, the most important being training the newly shifted pups that were to be warriors. They have to start intensive training immediately, I don't care of the muscle cramp they are sure to have later, after all they are werewolves. With rogue threats increasing by the day there's no other way but to go in fully. They should be able to undergo brutal fights in future and  stay alive, what's the point of having warriors if they go and all of them die in the battlefield? Or in case of an attack they'll be hiding instead of protecting women who can't fight, those who are pregnant, children and the elderly. That's the point of having a strong defense team, no harm should come to the fragile pack members.

I walked into dad's office " You called me?"

"Ah! There you are son" he say as he stands from his office chair and come around to my side. "I understand you have to go back to school as from next week,your Alpha training went well and you are impeccable. Your strength and energy still amazes me ,you can do soo much at 19, more than us alphas can. I am so proud of you .We have to hold a ceremony to announce you are the new alpha of The Blue-moon Pack, the event will be in two days. You've already assume your position here in the pack but we have to make it official for the other packs to know. How does that sound? "

" That's okay dad, if that's all please excuse me I have to tend to the newbies," he smiled at me with a nod  and I left his office. The meeting was brief and to the point just how I like it. Now these kids..They  better have been doing mild  training from a week or two earlier because warrior trainings are not the same as normal ones, it is intensive,energy draining and sometimes brutal.

I don't look forward to this training but its  one of the duties that I have to oversee personally as an Alpha, well at least for now till I go back go school for senior year. I have already missed several weeks in but I am not sweating about it, I will catch up quicker or even more than those who have been attending every single day from the beginning of the school year.

" Okay , that's all for today, you all have to know I have been linient with you all because it was your first day. Tomorrow be  well prepared, you are dismissed. " My voice boomed in the clearing.

" Yes Alpha. " They bowed their heads slightly in acknowledgement and leave with hunched shoulders, " and show some enthusiasm,will you. You all look so fragile right now!" I feel bad for the girls though I won't say that because I know they can do better.

" Don't you think you were too hard on them mate? " Nelson my beta asked .

" No I was not, they have to keep up with the intensive trainings. Packs nowdays are being attacked by rouges mercilessly, those damn insane wolves are becoming more and more dangerous as the years go by. They really need someone to put them in their place, the problem is even the council have washed their hands clean concerning the matter, the best way to protect the pack is having a strong defense team of  warriors. "

" Yes Alpha, you are right. " I walked to the pack house, I need some juice, my throat is dry.

" Hello dear, how is the newbies training coming along?" Mom asked, she was in the kitchen baking a huge cake for the pack. She hand me a huge pitcher containing chilled passion juice, my favorite.

"They are okay but weak, they obviously need more training."

"Go easy on them son , they are new to all this give them time to adjust. Keep in mind that so far  no one else can be pushed to your limits,  don't push them so much or else they will break. I think it is a good idea for Nelson and Jordan to be in the field, you just stand in the sidelines pointing mistakes. Think about it dear." She gave me a peck on the cheek , I took a glass and left with the juice to my office. Mom was a very wise Luna,she still is. Being by the Alpha's side for may years makes you learn so much. It's true, I can't push our warriors to my limits because they might reach their breakpoint and snap. But Nelson and Jordan are going to school, they will be happy to handle training during the weekend for now I will give  the tasks to Martin the head warrior and ask him to push them to be the absolute best, after all this team is undefeated.
