CHAPTER 9

               KIM'S POV
"Kimberly! Wait" I turn to see Isabelle running to catch up with me, school was over and I just want to go home and rest, tomorrow is Saturday meaning no classes, yaay, I have this werewolf novel that was left on a major cliffhanger on the previous chapter,I need to know what happened next.

" How was your classes, I was wondering if we could hang out." Isabelle said not out of breath even a bit after all that running she just did, she must be so fit, maybe she hits the gym regularly.

" Okay , I guess." I said awkwardly

" I'm really sorry if I am intruding, we can go another time" she said smiling but I saw a hint of disappointment.

" Hey,  I'm sorry if I am not enthusiastic, it's just that I am not used to this," I say pointing between us but she just gave me a blank look " I don't have any friends, I stay alone so  kinda don't know how to hang out." I rubbed on hand on my nape, yeah this is totally awkward.

" Perfect then I can be your best friend, might even beat Jordan to it." She said happily with even a slight happy dance which made me laugh.

" What do we do now?" This is going to  be a long evening, what have I just got myself into. It's like a light bulb suddenly went on on the top of her head then she grab my hand and pull me towards the exit of the school building, I had to jog to catch up with her while I use the other hand to steady my bag so that I doesn't slip off my arm. "Excited much." I mumble under my breath but she somehow caught on it and giggled, where did the shy girl I met earlier run off to?

We reach a nice new car, nothing too flashy but nice nonetheless, she let go of my hand so that she can unlock the doors using her key from a far. Then red flags went off in my brain "Where are we going?" I asked, bending slightly to look at her, she was already on the driver's seat while I was standing out with the door open.

"I was thinking we could go back to my house and hang out there. Or you want to go to the mall and shop for things you don't even need?" I can hear the sarcasm in her voice

"He'll NO!, I hate shopping, must be one of the reasons I don't have friends, your place is fine. " I throw my bag besides where my feet will be and climb in, if I ever decide to get a car I'd ask dad for something big, that when I'll be climbing into it I'll be doing just that 'climb in' I thought to myself as I do the safety belt. " I really would have bumped your ass back there if you were planning on taking me to do some cliche girl stuff" I tell her as she drives out the school gates which make her laugh.

" Consider yourself safe, because I'd rather walk on pins than do somethings I see chics fuss over all the time." I see her driving towards the opposite direction from home , I take my phone and shoot my mom a text that I will be home later and slip it back into my bookbag ." Why are you suddenly quiet, I hope you aren't planning on bailing out on me and you are considering different options on how to let me down gently." She jocked

"Well you are a smart one, I'm indeed reconsidering my decision of suddenly carpooling with you, considering the fact I don't know you and all that, To me that's a perfect recipe for a serial killer murder."

She laughed hearty, " I am no serial killer, I think I am too pretty to be one" she throw me a quick wink and turn her attention back on the road.

" Even the devil is beautiful." I say under my breath but she burst out laughing, she sure have great hearing." Yeah, I think you are too pretty to be thinking of new tactical ways of killing innocent people and hiding the bodies, that's alot to deal with" she chuckled and continued driving in silence. My mind wanders to a certain whiskey coloured eyes, and defined muscles that make my mouth water." How do you know king?," Okay, that came out more specific than planned, I mean are you guys related or something? All of you back at the table seem to have some deep understanding, it's like you've known each other for years"
