Do you believe in magic? Well guess what, magic is real. But it isn't what you think it is, There's no card tricks or bunny's coming out of hats, magic is something else entirely, For me it's a curse...
for centuries my family have always stayed hidden away in a cave up in the willow wisp forest somewhere nobody ever goes, my father says we must remain here for if our power was ever exposed to people they would hunt us down and claim it for themselves, it's incredibly boring in here spending every minute of everyday in a cave. I would try playing with my brother but he's always in trouble since he's a pretty bad kid. We managed to form somewhat of a house in this cave, we have a livingroom with a couch made of the nicest boulders, a bathroom with a log going right outside, a kitchen where mother prepares our food, she makes great turkey after father brings one back, and we have our rooms. They aren't very big but they do the trick, Though I always have a sore back. I guess that's what happens when you sleep on a rock. Everyday is the same, wake up, eat breakfast and sit there all day.
I love the weekends though! Father takes me and my brother to mount galarax to train our magic!
Somehow I always end up beating my brother just by a pinch.
I can't say I don't enjoy it here but I wish there was more I could do here. But as father says
"Alright I'm going out to get our dinner, remember boys stay in the cave. If we get seen pe-"
"People will hunt us down and take our magic, we know father, please be safe"
"I always do. Sparrow, Falcon be good"
"Hey Falcon wanna play tag?" I asked and of course his reply was
"I can't, I'm grounded"
Falcon walked away, and there I was alone again as always. Mother is sleeping and all I can do is sit here watching the night sky.
Looking at how dark the sky is I would say it's about 6:27 PM right now, father wouldn't be home for at least 4 hours and mother sleeps for 2 hours. I randomly got this really big urge to go out and explore for the first time. Once Falcon went out and he said he found a waterfall, the view was absolutely incredible he said.
I wondered if I could find the waterfall and make it back before father returned.
They say some urges are irresistible and this one is no different, surely I'll make it back on time!
