The four friends were now on their way to the Gryffindor Common room.
"It's spooky" Ron said "She knows more about you than you do"
"Who doesn't?" Harry asked.
"Hermione is not spooky, She's just brilliant that's all" Jacob said causing the bookworm to smile and blush behind him.
Suddenly the stairs started to shift which caused the kids to gasp in fear.
"What's happening?" Harry asked.
"The stairs change remember?" Hermione said. The stairs them stopped in front of a mysterious door.
"Let's go this way" Harry said.
"Before the stairs move again" Ron replied as the Gryffindors walked toward the door. As they entered the door Jacob suddenly felt cold. Like something was telling him not to be here.
"Does anybody feel like we shouldn't be here?" Ron asked.
"Yeah I do" Jacob said.
"We're not supposed to be here. This is the third floor. It's forbidden" Hermione said.
"That sounds about right" Jacob said "I say we get out of here. The quicker the better"
Suddenly a flame ignited then the quartet turned and saw brown cat with red eyes appeared behind them.
"It's Filch's cat Mrs. Norris" Hermione said grabbing onto Jacob's arm. Just as the old cat was about to alert Filch and a white furry blur came out of nowhere and attacked Mrs. Norris. The Gryffindors saw that it was Jacob's cat Sky who was biting and clawing at the older cat. Eventually Mrs. Norris gave up and ran away while Sky jumped in Jacob's arms.
"Good girl Sky" Jacob said petting his cat while she purred.
"Mrs. Norris won't be gone long." Hermione said "She'll warn Filch that we're here."
"Let's go then!" Jacob said as the four ran further down the room.
"Quick, let's hide through that door!" Harry said. The boy tried to open the door but it was locked tight. "It's locked!"
"That's it we're done for!" Ron whined.
"Oh move over you idiot" Jacob said pushing the ginger boy out of the way. He turned to Hermione as the both nodded to each other and took out their wands.
"Alohomora" They said in unison. The door then unlocked and they entered the dark room and shut the door.
"Alohomora?" Ron asked.
"Standard book of spells chapter 7" Hermione said.
"You would know that if you actually opened a damn book and paid attention in class" Jacob said while Sky meowed in agreement. The Quartet looked to see if Flich was gone.
"Flich is gone" Hermione said.
"Probably thinks this door is locked" Ron said.
"It was locked you idiot" Jacob groaned.
"And for good reason" Harry said in a scared tone of of voice. He had every right to be scared because right in front of him and his friends was a Cerberus. An actual Cerberus starting to wake up. The mythological dog stared at the Gryffindors and growled menacingly.
