Hayden POV
"Please don't take us back there." Henry said
" I have to. I'm sure your parents are worried sick about you." Emma said
" I don't have parents. I just have a mom, and she's--evil. And Hayden's dad is mean." Henry said
"Evil. That's a bit extreme, isn't it? " Emma said
Emma looked at me
"How mean?" She asked
I shrugged
"Just ask around town you'll find out." I said
"She is. She doesn't love me; she only pretends to." Henry said
" Kid. I'm sure that's not true." Emma said
Next thing I know Miss Mills opens the door and rushes to Henry.
" Henry? Hayden? Uh! Henry! Are you okay? Where have you two been? What happened?" Regina said
"we found our real mom!" Henry said grabbing my hand and running inside and upstairs
We were In Henry's room talking when the sheriff walked in. we call him Gram.
"Come on Hayden I'll take you home." He said
I nodded hugging Henry one last time and walking down the stairs.
"Madam Mayor, you can relax. Other than being a tired little boy, Henry's fine. and I'm going to take Hayden home." Gram said
"Thank you, Sheriff. Hayden Behave yourself." Miss Mills smiled at me
"I will." I said smiling at her tiredly
Gram pushed lightly on my back.
I sat in the passenger seat as Gram drove.
"I hope you learned that it's a bad idea to just up and leave without telling anyone." He said as he drove.
"Yeah.." I said
"Good." He said chuckling
I get out of the police car and Dad limps out of the store with his cane.
"Hayden thank goodness where have you been." He said getting on his knees hugging me.
I decided not to take Henry's tactic. so I just told him.
"Well Me and Henry found our real mom." I said
Dad looks at Gram and Gram nodded
Dad sighs and stands up.
"Thank you Sheriff Gram." Dad said
Gram nodded getting back in his car.
"Lets go little lady you and I are going to have a long talk." Dad said
I nodded walking back in the shop.
"Why didn't you tell me." I said looking at him.
I mean dad knows everything about everyone in this town there is no way he didn't know.
"I could have handled it." I said
"Because you are still so young yet. I did not think it was the proper time." He said
