We were on our way back to the safe haven.
"I don't know if I can do this. I'm not a very good liar." Aurora says I am walking next to Mulan
" Well, it's not really a lie, Aurora. did die an honorable death and did escape. All true. Just... leave the particulars to us. There's no reason to cause unnecessary panic amongst your people." Grandma says
" I'm not so sure it's unnecessary..." Aurora says
"Not to interrupt, But isn't there supposed to be someone up there?" I ask pointing to the tower
" She's right The tower. We always have sentries guarding the entrance. " Mulan says
she drawing her sword
"Stay close." Mulan says
We seen nothing but bodies everywhere
" Oh my God." Mom says
"This can't be. Our land, we were protected here, hidden. How did the ogres find us?" Mulan says
" Ogres didn't do this." Grandma says
" What?" Mulan asks
"Cora did. Their hearts... they were ripped out. This was her ... twisted and evil. We have to stop her." Grandma says
" Too late. She killed them. She killed them all." Mulan says
" We have to stop her before she hurts anyone else." Grandma says
I see a hand waving from under the bodies.
"Mom," I say
She sees where I was looking
" Hey. Hey. Look." Mom says
"There's someone under there. He's alive." Aurora says
"Please." The man says he's in rags but I can see a nice vest underneath I recognize him from the book He's Captain Hook!
" It's okay." Aurora says
"Please help me." Hook says
"It's okay. You're safe now we won't hurt you." Aurora says
"Thank you. Thank you." Hook says
Mom and the others are away. I sit at the table across from him. I smile at him.
"Can I help you?" He asks.
"Please don't pretend I know who you are." I say
I look around
I put the side of my hand near my mouth
"You're Captain Hook." I whisper
He smirked at me.
"Don't worry I won't tell." I say as I smile
"You're alright lass." He says winking at me
I wink back at him
"Here you go." Mom says setting a cup in front of hook
" I can't thank you enough for your kindness. Fortune it seems has seen fit to show me favor." Hook says as he takes a sip of water
