"Come. We'll stand watch at the gate." Mulan says her and Aurora leave
" I never thought I'd see this place again. This room. It was your nursery." Grandma says
" I lived here?" Mom asks
"You never even got to spend a night." Grandma says
She Pauses
" This is the life I wanted you to have. I was going to teach you how to walk in here, how to talk, how to dress for your first ball. You never got to do any of it. We never got to be a family." Grandma says she sounded so sad
" We have a family... in Storybrooke and right now they need us to get back there. So... how do we get this to work?" Mom says I nodded
"Where's the "on" switch?" Mom says
"I don't think it works that way." I giggled
"It's more complicated than that. We'll have to get it back to the island. Hopefully, someone there has access to enough magic to make it work again." Grandma says
" How are we gonna carry this thing?" Mom says
" With the help of an old friend." a Man walks in
" Lancelot. What are you doing here?" Grandma asks
" We heard about the ogre attack, and I had to make sure you were alright" He says
" Oh. Where are Mulan and Aurora?" Grandma says
"I sent them to find food. Tonight we'll make camp, and in the morning, we'll head back. So... this is it... the portal you were after." He says
"The same one Emma went through. It's how she escaped the curse." Grandma says
I can't really put my finger on it but he seems a little too interested in this. I star him up and down and he just nearly smiles at me. Yeah Something smells fishy or my name isn't Hayden gold.
" Remarkable." He says staring at it
"Geppetto carved it from an enchanted tree, but... there's no magic left." Grandma says
" A portal this powerful... there must be another way to recharge it." He said
" Why are you so interested in the wardrobe?" Grandma asks
" Well, I just want you to get home to your husband and son. Henry. They must miss you." He says
Grandma draws her sword pointing it at him and hiding me behind her.
"Stay away from him, Emma. He is not who he says he is." Grandma says I nodded agreeing even though no one could see me at the moment.
"What are you talking about? Who the hell is he?" Mom asks
"There is only one person you told Henry's name." Grandma says
" Cora." Mom says
Suddenly smoke surrounds him and now he's an older woman.
"Clever girl." Cora says
"Where's Lancelot?" Grandma says still pointing her sword at her
"He's dead. I killed him a long time ago." Cora say my eyes widen
" And you've been posing as him ever since." Grandma says
"Well, they'd never listen to me. And besides, every kingdom needs a hero, don't you think?" Cora says
Mary Margaret tries to attack but Cora pushes her against the wall with magic.
" Aah! Oh!" Grandma yells
"Grandma!" I yell
" Thank you, Snow. I've been looking for a way over for so long." Cora says
Emma tries to attack Cora but again Cora uses magic to stall her
"I never thought the person to help me find it... would be you." Cora says
"Why? Why are you doing this?" Grandma says
" I want to see my daughter. It's been too long. And you know, I would love to meet my grandson Henry." Cora says
"He wouldn't want to see you You're Evil!" I say
I try to run , Cora tries to attack me with the same attack. I cover my head with my hands. And the earth beneath us starts to shake. I peek too see they almost look like tree roots attacking Cora. The roots throw her.
" No, you won't!" Mom says
Mom creates a fire using gunpowder, torching the wardrobe
" NO!" Cora yells
She throws a fire ball, Mulan jumps and defects it with her sword.
"Mulan!" Aurora yells
" We're not done." Cora says in anger and disappears in smoke
" Oh!" Grandma yells and falls
"You okay?" Mom asks
"You saved me." Grandma says
" Yeah, well... where is she?" Mom asks
" Gone." Grandma says
"So's our ride home." Mom says
" Lancelot was one of the most noble knights I ever knew." Grandma says
"How could I be so blind? How could I not see that it was Cora?" Mulan says
"Well, to be fair, the whole shape-shifting thing threw me, too." Mom says
" What are we going to tell the people on the island?" Mulan says
"The truth... that Lancelot was cut down by a terrible villain. He died an honorable death." Grandma says
"Cora's still out there. We need to find her. We need to defend what's left of the kingdom." Mulan says
"Who's going to lead us? You?" Aurora asks Mulan
" No. Her." Mulan says nodding to grandma
" I'm honored, but Emma and I still have to find a way back to Storybrooke." Grandma says
"We'll help you. We'll find a way, won't we?" Mulan says
" Yes. Perhaps it'll help me channel my anger." Aurora says
" Come." Mulan says Her and Aurora leave
" I'm, uh... sorry I torched our ride home. I couldn't let her get to Henry. I just..." Mom said
"You had to put Henry and Hayden first." Grandam says
" I was angry for so long... wondering how you could choose to let me grow up without you. But then just seeing all this... You gave up everything for me and you're still doing that. Sorry. I'm not good at this. I... I guess I just... I'm not... I'm not used to someone putting me first." Mom says
"Oh. " Grandma says in surprise
They hug
"Well, get used to it." Grandma says
Mom is kneeling in front of me checking me for any kind of injuries.
"Are you sure you're okay?" She asks
"Mom, I'm fine." I say
"Yeah well you were surrounded by these wicked roots so forgive me if I'm not convinced." She says
After seeing that I was fine
we all leave the nursery.
