Chapter 3

[Jack hasn't been able to pay attention in school today, not after what happened yesterday. He hasn't told anyone about what happened, nor was he planning to. At first, he thought it was just a dream, but when he spoke with Raf, he also remembered the whole thing, so that theory went out the window.]

[As Jack exited the school after the bell rang, he walked out to see a very familiar-looking motorcycle, and Rafael talking... To a car? Jack slowly approached Raf, and soon he heard his voice and another. It sounded familiar too.]

???: Hey there Jack! Your ride is with Chrom over there. [The car said as it opened its door for Raf to get in.]

Jack: Wait, are you... The robot? [He asked.]

???: That I am. My designation is Hot Rod. [He said as Raf got in.]

Jack: W-Wait! Raf, why are you going with him? [He asked in concern.]

Rafael: Because he's going to give us answers about yesterday. [He replied.] Plus, they saved us, so it's the least I can do. [He added before they drove off.]

[Jack watched them go, then saw Chromia drive up to him. He began to back up.]

Jack: Look, I didn't tell anyone, and I don't plan to, so you don't have to abduct me. [He said.]

Chromia: Look, I'm sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have dragged you into this, and I understand why you don't want to come with me, but you must. [She explained.]

Jack: Why? [He asked.]

Chromia: Because the two bots that attacked us yesterday, they saw you both. They're going to come looking for you to get to our team, and you must stay safe. [She clarified.]

Jack: I can protect myself. [He claimed.]

Chromia: Can you survive a plasma shot to the face? [She inquired.]

Jack:... No...

Chromia: Then your coming with me. [She saw his reluctance.] You don't have to stay, I just want to explain. [She assured.]

[He contemplated for a moment, then reluctantly got on. Soon she drove after Raf and Hot Rod.]

[By the time Bulkhead arrived at the school, the two kids were long gone. Bulkhead forgot that he was in charge of kidnapping the humans, thinking that Soundwave would do it, but he was only supposed to locate them.]

[Bulkhead was wondering what to do when he saw a teen girl with pink strands in her hair leave the school. She didn't fit the description of either human from before, but maybe she'll do.]

[He drove up to her and transformed, taking her by surprise. The girl took out a small pink device and took a picture of him, but dropped it once Bulkhead grabbed her. A ground-bridge opened as he transformed, then they went through.]

Chromia: This is where our base is.

[They were looking at a lake that was outside of town, the kids were confused.]

Jack: Where?

Hot Rod: Underwater silly! [He replied teasingly.]

Jack:... How do we get in? [He asked worriedly.]

Chromia & Hot Rod: Ground-Bridge. [They said simply.]

[As though on cue, a green vortex opened in front of them. Once assuring them the bridge was safe, they went through.]
