chapter 5 !!

So I continued to run there, following the direction.
I slowly made my way up this hill
(Sorry for the constant uses of hills and sleepovers in my stories, it's a force of habit.)

The sunset was really nice from there.
The navigator told me I arrived

I looked up again and saw it.
The whole town.
That was also when I realised how high up I was.

I couldn't help but wonder if I was really at the right place, as Lucy wasn't here.

I then got a text.

(6:32) Lucy: Sorry rex, I might be a minute late. I got a bit sidetracked with something.

She was going to be late.

I sat down on a log nearby and continued to admire the view, while trying to catch my breath.

She then showed up a minute later.

"Hey, rex! What do you think of this awesome view?"

"It looks really nice, thanks for bringing me here."

she sat down on the log next to me, Continuing to speak.

"As I had said before, this looks like a perfect place for a tourist"

I didn't feel like being a tourist before.
Truth is I actually kinda missed life.
Watching everyone in emmets timeline have so much fun, and just live- made me remember back when everything was actually awesome, I wanted to live again- showing up here made me find hope of a better ending- it may not of been what I originally planned or wanted, but it might be the actual right thing. Might as well tell her first.

"Lucy-"

"Huh? Whos that?"

She said in a more higher piched voice.
Almost forgot she didn't tell me that was her real name yet.
Lets hope this was ment to happen.

"Oh- um it doesn't matter what does is that-"

Her expression slowly changed, looking surprised as she moved my hair around abit. I recognised the feeling of that particular hairstyle.

She put her hand down, looking at me

"Emmet.....?"

she said quietly

Great.

I saw her cry.
I didn't know what to say.

"Where have you been this whole time?"

I couldn't defend myself now.

"U-Under a dyrar- when I tried to save you all those years back, my plan failed."

"H-How did you get here then?"@

"Its a long story."

She now started full on crying, hugging me

"IM SO SORRY! PLEASE STAY HERE, FORGIVE ME, FORGIVE US ALL. WE COULD OF TRIED HARDER"

"Luce it's okay-"

"I KNOW ITS NOT, ILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU."

I got a picture out of my pocket.

"Seen anything like this around?"

It was a picture of the brick Ive been looking for.

"Huh? I saw something like that over there."

She pointed to this tree. With a brick in it, I picked it up.

It was what I wanted, though it was a grey, not the red I was looking for. Colours don't matter, it would have to do.

"Thanks... that's what I was looking for."

She clung to me again.

"I'm so sorry...."

"I think you already said that."

She laughed abit.

"You don't look the same, but you feel the same, good enough for me."

"Thank god, I thought you were going to make me switch identities again"

"That was my fault?"

"Not entirely"

"What were you going to say before?"

"that I wanted to stay here more permanently"

"Wait....really? After everything?"

"Yeah, things got really lonely under the dryar. Your company does something to it"

At the end of the day, Thomas got back to his timeline
I'm yet to find hope that the people from there won't track me down.

Lucy found me again, apparently she found hope of a better future.

I just want a restart. This is apparently a good opportunity to do so.

It might take awhile but it should be worth it.

A/N: finally done with thiss I managed to get it done before I go to camp, so yay.
If rex seems soft for whatever reason just get that he is basically immortal as he keeps coming back so let him have fun during this endless lifetime of his. This and next gen were basically the kickstarters of what emmet and Rex's timelines look like in my au. Now you'll just get stories and stuff bc yes. This was just to make sense of whats happening lol.
