Emma

I’m really excited for today. Nina, Lottie, Clover, and I are about to go dress shopping for the dance. It’s just around noon, and they agreed to come by my house and pick me up. I decided to wear just a casual outfit to go shopping, so I decided on a long-sleeved pink shirt and jeans. I pulled my hair back into a high ponytail, and I grabbed my purse just in time before they parked in front of my house.

Nina came up to my front porch, greeting me with a hug. She had her hair spilling over her shoulders, and she was smiling widely. A layer of mascara was on her eyelashes, and she was wearing a denim jacket and leggings.

“Nina, hey. Where is Clover and Lottie?”

“They’re in the car,” she told me, pointing to the car. She waved to them, and they waved right back to her. “So, are you ready to go?”

“Ready.” I answered, and I followed her back to the car.

We climbed in the car, getting ourselves settled down  in the seats. Clover was driving, and Lottie was sitting in the passenger seat. I crawled in the back seat with Nina, and once we were all buckled in, Clover drove off.

“So Emma, what kind of dress are you going to be looking for?” Lottie asked me, turning to look at me from where she was sitting.

I shrugged. “Probably a black dress. Would about you guys?”

“Something white or light pink,” Nina answered, smiling.

“I’ll get something sparkly.” Clover said, and Lottie nodded.

            “I agree.”

“I’m so excited. I mean, the dance isn’t far from now,” Nina squealed. “I just hope that Niall would like it.”

“I’m sure he’d love whatever you choose, Nina.” I told her, and she smiled.

A few minutes passed, and then we pulled up in the parking lot of the store. We all climbed out of the car, closing the car doors behind us and walking towards the entrance. A small breeze blew past us, and I got a little chilly. Luckily, we finally reached the front doors, and it was a lot warmer inside than it was outside.

Looking around, there were so many options to choose from. It was so colorful, and on the opposite side, there were black and white dresses. I went over with Lottie to the black and whites, and Nina went with Clover to the section with more color.

“Lottie, what do you think of this one?” I asked her, holding it up. It was a long, black dress with spaghetti straps. It was about knee length, and I thought it would be suitable outfit for me to wear to the dance.

“I like it, but I think this one’s better for you.” She answered, pointing out another one.

I did agree with her. It looked like it would be a much better fit, and I thought it was prettier than the other one. It was strapless dress, and it was about knee length as well. I smiled at her, and she smiled back.
