Apple, Briar, and I walked through the grass. The looming school of Ever After High was only a few yards in front of us. Doves carried Apple's luggage, and some of my mice friends helped me carry the lighter stuff.

"I can't believe it! Legacy happens this year, and there is ever so much to do," Apple gushed.

"Totally, right? I mean, this year's after party is going to be a page ripper. I heard DJ N-Chant is-"

"Briar, (Y/n). It's not just about the party. This is destiny! Future queen! We can't let anyone post embarrassing pictures of us on MyChapter," Apple reminded us.

"Hey, daughter of Sleeping Beauty. If I'm gonna be catching 'z's for a hundred years, I gotta live it up now," Briar reasoned.

"And come on, Apple. No one would post anything bad about you," I added. "Everybody loves you."

"It's Apple White!"

"Gorgeous!"

Tiny walked up to us. "May I carry your books?"

"Why, Tiny, aren't you the sweetest little thing?" Apple said. "Thank you."

"See, they love you," Briar agreed with me. "Oh, oh. I don't want to miss a minute of our first day. Hey, everybody? Hey, what's up? Howdy."

I watched Briar with a smile as she socialized. I stood next to Apple, eager to get to my dorm room. I spotted Jonas and Daring, and I blushed. I shook it off. Not in front of your friend, who so happens to be his sister.

"Hey, Prince Daring. Jonas. Why are you holding your hand over your mouth?" Apple asked Daring.

"Well, you see, I just got my teeth whitened. And Headmaster Grimm said I can't show people, 'cause-"

"But your smile is so charming!" Apple gushed.

"Well, you know-" Daring was cut off by the blinding flash of his teeth. I blinked, my eyes clearing after a couple of moments.

"Ah, my eyes! I can't see! Ah!" Tiny crashed to the ground. "I'm okay."

"Apple, Daring," Blondie said, approaching us.

"Hey, Apple, I'm going to go to my dorms," I said awkwardly, not wanting any attention to myself.

"Okay. I'll see you later," Apple said, waving her hand dismissively.

"See you later, (Y/n)," Jonas said, waving timidly.

I blushed, nodding before running off.

I had so much social anxiety when it came to talking alone. I preferred to stay in the dorms, with an enjoyable book or a nice TV show. Looking out the window to see my bird friends waving hello to me or my mice friends who had crawled up the vines on the castle walls.

We walked through the village of Book End, excited to be walking around the small socializing location. I was shy as boys smiled at me, or waved at me.

"Hey, you want to get a Hocus Latte?" Briar suggested.

Apple scoffed. "That sounds magical. I love mine with nutmeg. How do you like yours, (Y/n)?"

"(How you like it)," I explained quietly.

"I like a lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta cream," Briar added.

We walked up to my sister, who was cleaning the store windows. Some nice beavers were helping her as well. I smiled, chatting with the beavers.

"Hey," Ashlynn greeted us.
