A Different Mother

Kya came home from the hospital she works in, she flopped on the couch and looked at the digi-clock on the TV stand, 10:30 PM. Lin was late, or she went out to buy a few things. Kya went to the kitchen to see a small, adorable, black and white kitten sitting on the kitchen counter, waiting for the Waterbender to come and get her, beside the kitten was a small collar that just fit for her, and a permanent marker on the counter with a note on it. Kya walked over to the counter, gently petting the kitten while she reads the note.

I know you always wanted kids but since we can't really make kids, here she is, hoping that you'll accept her lovingly, I know this is beyond from anything you expected, but this kitten was homeless, but now she isn't if you take her in, I love you

Kya looked at the kitten, who felt as if she was lost before but now found her path, Kya took the kitten into her arms, nuzzling into her neck. (Yes it's a 'she') They walked over to the couch and sat down.

Kya: Now, what should I name you..? How about Linny?
Kitten: Meow!!
Kya: Alrighty, Lin hates that name, wait no, despises it

Linny purred lovingly, liking the way the Waterbender is petting her. Now all they had to do is wait for Lin to come back home, and watch as she freaks out with the name Kya gave the kitten, but before she could forget, she wrote down the name on the collar in her best writing her best writing possible. Now let's see Chief Beifong's reaction to the name

Lin came home only to find Kya and the kitten on the couch

Kya: Oh hey Lin!
Lin: Looks like you found her
Kya: Wanna know what I named her?
Lin: Oh I don't like that tone...
Kya: Linny! Come here!!

Lin's brows began to twitch in frustration and embarrassment

Lin: YoU nAmEd HeR wHaT?¡!¿
